Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen was in action as Napoli defeated Lazion 2-1 in Sunday’s Serie A game.
Osimhen, who has been impressive in front of goal, could not score any goal against Lazio.
The Nigerian international nearly put the visitor on the lead but his low drive shot was parried by Lazio goalkeeper.
However, Lorenzo Insigne broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute before Pedro levelled parity for the host.
Fabian Ruiz broke the heart of many Lazio fans when he netted the winning goal in the 94th minute.
The win means Napoli sit at the top of the Serie A on 57 points while Lazio sit 7th on 43 points.

I pray he doesn’t get injured before the game with Ghana.. next Sunday is against Milan who have same point with Napoli and just below in second position with a Lower goal difference.. I hope those Milan defenders don’t break his leg next week
I like Osimhen but yall need to stop being so biased. He needs to work on his finishing and his 1v1. I watched the game against barca. Many times he was ahead of the squad about to score and just kept on missing and giving away turnovers like 3 times in a row. He just doesn’t show up for big games and napoli as a whole doesn’t show up either. They had a chance to go top of the table and just settled for a draw against cagliari. He didnt show up for inter milan game, but he tie the game against cagliari. At most he scores to tie games not to finish it. Reminds me of the game against leicester when they were behind and he scored two goals to tie the game. Out of the current attacking super eagles in the top 5 leagues Awoniyi leads with 10 goals
Napoli style of play doesn’t favor strikers unless u won die on the field. Nobi only Osimhen dey loose goals ooo dem Mbappe sef dey loose sitter well well. What you’re able to do to make up for the lost is what matters. And don’t forget Osimhen is human like all of us. When you find yourself in the midst of group who only tolerate you but doesn’t really believe in your ability nor give u the chance to thrive, you will always struggle and at a point, that will have a negative impact on you psychologically, frustration will set in because you wanted to do more but you don’t have the room. Moreso, all the injuries have really unsettled him. Now he missed goals that he normally score. I have never doubt his potential 1 bit bcos i have follow the boy right from U-17 and he is special breed. Napoli as a team if they sign Mbappe or Haaland today and give him same treatment they give Osimhen, am 100% sure both of them will suffer and run away the next season. Napoli is a team of midfielders that don’t like to pass. I only pray make Bayern or Man City just come for him then you will see the Osimhen we all know. Even as SE no get quality midfielders reach, he score very well ans even assist so that explain Napoli pattern of play is not built to bring out the best in a striker. Most times He’s only alone upfront the rest players are at their backline or deep in their half. So he is supposed to go back collect ball, dribble everyone and score abi ?

Napoli Frontline are full of selfish players who can’t setup an open Osimhen. They play very poorly in the final third…
Oshimen can save himself from injury if he wants …..he suppose to no better by now.
Napoli’s final third is always too crowded with Napoli’s players for Osimene to find space to run into, as everyone wanna score. They do this leaving opponents taking advantage of their wide open midfield n defence to launch counter attack which always gets them conceding stupid goals. With a player like Osimene, they will be a lot stronger in defence n devastating in attack playing more players to cover spaces in front of their defence with long through balls to Osimene n 1 or 2 other in attack.THEIR SYSTEM OF PLAY IS NOT GETTING THE BEST OUTTA OSIMENE/THE TEAM.
The Italian system is not working for Osihmen. Spain, England or France should be the next destination. Clubs in those leagues will make him their point of goals.
Osimhen is the heart of Napoli. Without Osimhen at the moment, they can not functioning properly.
Same thing with Feyenoord. Dessers is injured now and they are struggling. I hope “our own” are seeing the impact and importance of Osimhen and Dessers.
