Victor Osimhen was on target again as Napoli defeated Salernitana 2-0 in fierce Derby di Campania.
Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo flicked a ball over the top for Osimhen to squeeze the finish between Guillermo Ochoa and the near post, early in the game but he was flagged just offside.
Di Lorenzo gave Napoli the lead late in the first half.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa combined with Mario Rui to pull back from the by-line, as Di Lorenzo took a touch and smashed the finish off the underside of the crossbar.
Osimhen tapped home after the break to put the game beyond Salernitana.
Eljif Elmas unleashed a right-foot strike from outside the box that bounced off the far post, into the path of Osimhen for the tap-in.
The Nigeria international has now scored 13 goals in 15 league appearances for the Partenopei this season.

I said it last season that osimhen excels under pressure….. Osimhen likes responsibility……he likes to be loved……he love it when the fans chant his name in the stadium…..he wants to be the focus at all times…..that is what made him succeed in Belgium and France…..Now Napoli has figured it out and they have given him great responsibility which he is enjoying to the fullest…..He lacked all this ingredients at Wolfsburg hence his ordeal there……Now the scuddeto is Napoli’s to lose….. Osimhen will not be forgotten by Napoli fans in a hurry because it’s been a long time since they won the scuddeto…… Osimhen is going to be the African footballer of the year soon.
African footballer of the year in no distant time..
With salah and mane underperforming and injured respectively, I see no other African player that is doing better than oshimen currently.. maybe we will be having a Nigerian wining it again soon
Watch out for another Nigerian in hot pursuit. Lookman. He is so cool, very smart and calculating.
Stay away from the premier league and keep on shining. Be the star of a team and do not join a english team because they know Africans wont decline or buy players because other people are interested. There is more to football than playing for man utd. Ive seen so many players decline when they hit the premier league when their was no plan for them
All i need to say is X Factor Player. Who wants to doubt me now. Remembered when you all were ganging up on me on this Forum.. when I declares that he is an X Factor player. Well here you have it need I say no more.
Not only will victor Oshimen will the African footballer of the year award, he will one day win world player of the year as well as the Ballon dor . He will win it . This one no be by mouth . As he’s got that positive force to achieve it . He’s a future legend of the game.
Guy a beg rest. Chippa United striker Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro, based on his qualities will have to wrestle with Victor Osimhen for a spot in the Super Eagles team if invited.
He has 6 goals in 13 games in his first season in the PSL, Ighodaro will do big things in the near future.
He is of the same characteristics with Osimhen, no doubt, his obsession to scoring goals is what sets him apart.
I love the Name. Etiosa Godspower, it almost means one and the something in our Edo language. Ighodaro is a well known and a celebrated name in Edo Kingdom. Goodluck my Edo son. The whole World will receive you with open arms when you arrive. Thank you, Ignatius Abo.
