David Okereke is a classy, strong attacking midfielder cum striker and deserves a place in the Super Eagles of Nigeria going forward. hope the Super Eagles technical crew and coaching personnel send him an invite for the AFCON and world cup playoffs because he deserves to be given a chance based on his current form. Thanks
@Ema… if he keeps it going this way why not? Rohr with his select group of trusted players that he never allows new entrants even though they are performing has been unyoked so everyone doing great and playing well now has a better chance… Rohr was just too rigid even Hippopotamus is learning where Gernot Rohr is involved! He kept telling Simmy Nwankwo who scored 40goals (Serie B & Serie A) in consecutive seasons to move to Intermilan and Juventus before calling but ran to call Ighalo from Saudi Arabia… such a funny and hapless conman!
@MONKEY POST… go and ask Germany, France, Italy and England how they manage their depeer pool of talent base from their leagues that they have. That is why coaching these days is known as managing… the complexity of managing a deep talent base is too overwhelming for Oldman Rohr’s brain.
I think we have had enough of this Rohr this Rohr that. Sebi your honourable minister has said it will be sorted out this week. Why not allow this man to be. Yes he is not good as said by most of you accepted. If your FA are serious by now they should have paid off the man but they are looking for soft landing. Rohr is not good but got the almighty SE of Nigeria job and bailed us out when we all thought eagles did not have any hope of qualifying from that group. Nigeria was the least ranked team in that group then and he made it out effortlessly even with 2 game to spare. The same FA chairman said sometimes then that it was great Arsene Wenger who recommended him to Nigeria then. If Wenger could recommend someone do you what that means? Whether Rohr remain as eagles coach or not doesn’t benefit me in any way because am not heating from his salary but you no what let us be fair and just in our assessment. yes he may not be good now but he has been good sometimes so if it’s not working again let the man go in peace is not by force. All these derogatory statement is not fair to him most especially from those who called themselves ex players, recent being Agahowa. It’s easy he doesn’t go into coaching all these years.Ole just left today but how many manager has Manchester United gotten since Alex Ferguson era? We should borrow a leaf from that. Same thing is currently happening at Arsenal as well.
My problem with Mr rohr he don’t have confidence with this young players that is the reason while he called ighalo out of retirement for me rohr is too old and gentle for this job
Rohr is managing it the best way possible. let him do his job. Stop pressurizing him. Whether he goes to the afcon with ighalo or with your favorite striker or not should not be a concern as long as he is getting the job done. SE and Nigeria must come first before looking whether he invited your favorite.
@Monkey post; Please stop referring to Rohr as Coach and it is high time to start thinking of post Rohr because he will never be allowed to be in charge of super again for players invitation racketeering ; he is a scam, that his business partner NFF unleashed on us just because of corruption is the second calamity after Buhari that have befallen this country for 6 years, just as PMB ; if you are still in doubt, kindly recommend him to any club division in your home state and come back in this forum live to prove me wrong, if people of your state would have not stoned you to death in 2 years !!
Go and check appealing historical records of the clueless Rohr from @ Dr Drey / @ Ayphillydegreat, they will tell you better ; from 2005 -2016 (one decade and a year) ; no club in this planet have given Rohr chance to destroy their team for one year , and no country on this Planet of black axis Africa could have allowed Rohr to destroy their team for 2 straight year ( because no country in this world would have allowed a scam Rohr near their technical bench , even as an assistant in the least European country ) except only a corrupt gold medallist country as ours NFF would allowed a scam that called himself Coach destroy their team for 6 years running.
We have talented pool of players that each position can have quality 3 players competing favourably; Dennis , Awoniyis are going to form a bedrock of fearsome strikers with Osi-goal the much long awaited new Rashidi Yekini in SE when dumbo Rohr scam regime ends before our next competitive match; and wait a minute, watch out again for the newest Amokachi reincarnated that your dumbo Rohr could not discover with his blinds scouts he purported paying from his awufu …. Akin Amoo .
Rohr’s scam has come to end , even his business partner cannot rescue him , and should he refuses to accept his fate that his game is up as he has been exposed; he would loose out outright as he will be relegated without salary
@De Star… can you remember when I started calling Gernot Rohr a fraud from? Hahahaha… man I made my conclusions about him long ago… it was whiteskin package that our countrymen worship till date that kept that loafer fooling the generality of Nigeria public for six ling years… Lol. Recall when Joseph Dosu called Rohr openly a mechanic and usual big dogs here on CSN almost snuffed Dosu life out with insults and slurs… looking back now you will know a lot of folks who claim football knowledge here were actually hypnotized by Rohr and his brood of contractors without even knowing they were under a spell… what made a lot of friends here come out of that spell was the High Blood Pressure Voltage Jolt Rohr unleashed on Nigerians in the last game Versus Cape Verde in Lagos… I know Amaju for sure received EFCC threats from Aso Rock… otherwise he was tied taut from Rohr’s magic also… hahahaha. Nigeria Ball Fans just got saved from bondage by no other being than God himself…
*six long years… my typo*
@De Star You want to sack him without paying him over 800 million?? Be ready for a lawsuit then…
And am just wondering within this short space of time from now till Afcon where can nff get a good foreign coach? Can nff afford?? And how many local coaches are good enough to manage the team? Na confusion una just wan bring.
@Monkey Post u never see something……
They profess to have played soccer to the highest level but keep thinking and seasoning like people in riverine.
They want the coach to invite all the strikers to come and play as CB, FULL BACK, DM WINGERS.
WETIN ADAMU NO GO SEE FOR GETE
@JimmyBall; I surely knew you shouted enough that Rohr is a Mechanic along with @Larry , @ Chima E Samuel & co almost looking like a broken record .
I have never for once believed him either to be a coach , not even average one but scam , NFF only resorted to employed him as he remain only scam that can have a dirty deal with them .
A good is as good as his last 3 games/ teams , how could a serious organization could have employed Rohr that was declared not to have technical and mental capacity to handle a lowly Gabon, that had a unbelievably disastrous records of 13 loos , 3 wins in 23 games in Niger to be a coach of giant of Arica !!!
If Nigeria did not kill corruption, corruption will bury Nigeria
@Monkey Post ; forget Afcon; it does not make any differences , after all if mechanic coach Rohr were to lead his SE to the tournament , he would still have ended up with garbage with unending excuses . Since we all know Rohr has never won any cup in his entire scam coaching career, and has nothing to offer ; he would have ended up disgracing Nigeria and enriching his pocket with bribe from the retiring Igahalo of this world and scrap goalkeeper as John Nobles forming the nucleus of his team .
The faster we ended his 6th years running the better ( can you swear that , you did not embarked on marathon prayer during our last game against Cape Verde not to loose that match at the 11 hour , as many of us did ?
enough of further waste !!!
Rohr in SE is a big scam !!!
@De Star… I almost fainted from the shot struck by the Cape Verde player that was the last block from Ndidi… blood rushed to head and I honestly to God who made me becmae dizzy after the match… I have never felt such panicc and confusion from a football game since we played Italy in USA 1994! Jeez… it was God that scraped us through… then for Rohr to say the draw was like a win just revealed he never understood how Nigerians rate their football…
Okereke is getting more difficult to ignore with his recent performances.
Like a stubborn mosquito, he keeps buzzing in the ear. You can’t ignore a consistent performer.
Today’s goal was a clinical finish. A striker’s goal.
If he continues like this, he just might get a chance in the SE. He just might.
BTW, I didn’t see Ebuehi in Venezia’s matchday squad today.
Hope he is ok.
Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi has been ruled out of Venezia’s Serie A clash against Bologna on Sunday.
The 25-year-old got injured in his right femoral rectum, which ruled him out of the tie.
“In view of the match against Bologna, if for Crnigoj we could say no new good news, bad news arrives from Tyronne Ebuehi. “
“The Nigerian full-back has in fact stopped and the instrumental tests have shown an injury to the right femoral rectum.
“The recovery times have not yet been ascertained but it will certainly take a few weeks to get the former Benfica back at his disposal,”
