Nigerian stars Tyronne Ebuehi and David Okereke featured for newly promoted Venezia, who sealed their first home win this season, beating Fiorentina 1-0, Completesports.com reports.
Going into Monday’s fixture, Venezia had failed to win any of their last four games (two defeats, two draws).
While Ebuehi, who made his fifth league appearance, played for 90 minutes, Okereke came on in the 50th minute for his seventh game.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero made his Venezia debut after completing a free transfer during the break.
The Argentinean played his first Serie A game in seven years.

This is Venezia’s first home victory in Serie A in 19 years and eight months, with their last win coming on February 10, 2002, a 2-0 victory against Fiorentina.
Mattia Aramu’s 36th minute goal was enough to seal the win for Venezia, after he was sent clear and had the easy task of putting the ball inside an empty net.
Okereke had a chance to score on the counter but his shot was easily saved by Terracciano.
The Fiorentina goalkeeper saw a straight red card a few minutes later for a desperate foul on Aramu outside the box.
Venezia climb to 15th place with eight points in eight games while Fiorentina sit ninth along with Bologna with 12 points.

Haven watched Napoli vs Torino earlier today and venezia vs fiorentina tonight with my focus solely on Aina and ebuehi, I am good to say that defensively and offensively TYRONE EBUEHI is better than OLA AINA.
When I noticed that he was going to the serie-A during the summer I was a bit skeptical due to his body frame and strength but this night I am very impressed because EBUEHI has really worked on his body and he has gathered and added a lot of strength .. even the commentators couldn’t help it but to shower an encomiums on HIM…
With super eagles: EBUEHI IS RELIABLE!
Tyronne Ebuehi put in a great performance for Venezia tonight. Rohr loves to invite him and then place him on the reserve bench
Rohr is a foolish coach good at benching brilliant players or not even inviting them.
Tell me who discovered and brought Ebuehi to SE? It’s Rohr.
Who invited him back to SE immediately after his injury woes before impressing much at club level? It’s Rohr
You may not know this but who engineered Ebuehi’s transfer to Serie A? It’s Rohr
You guys just know how to open your mouth yakata to talk nonsense without processing it through your medulla oblongata first. Go on castigating Rohr for everything in SE, when the guy leaves you go hear and see wenh!!!
The earlier we realized that we don’t have a coach the better. Roahr does not have an idea of what he is doing. He is clueless
Ebuehi was simply a class act in that match. But we must please stop comparing Aina n Ebuehi. Both have their strong points and weak points as against the other. While Aina is more versatile, Ebuehi to me is ahead of the rest is that right back or right wing back position. For now, the one player that doesn’t look like a pretender in that left back/left wing back position is Zaidu, since we haven’t tried Bassey who I believe will do a great job yet. So as it is we have only got three well tested, trusted n dependable, Aina, Ebuehi n Zaidu. COLLINS IS GREAT SUSPECT ESPECIALLY WITH HIS LACK OF IDEAS. Hopefully, he shakes off the slacks and get more creative to prove all doubters wrong.
When I look at the way some people reason I sake my head. This same Ebuehi was discovered by this same Rohr and how can he be in SE team when he is not fit. So Rohr is the reason why his parent club Benfica have been loaning him around since he signed for them after showing flashes before his unfortunate injury?
I just watched the commissioning if the Mobalaji stadium in Ibadan. I just wondered if ever we are going to get anything right in this country. The stadium was an eyesore as it was completely waterlogged. It was God that wanted to reveal their secret that made rain to fall on that day. So so painful. What a pity.
