Nigeria defender Ola Aina has emerged a summer transfer target for Serie A club Napoli, reports Completesports.com.
Aina only linked up with Torino on a permanent deal from Premier League club Chelsea last summer.
The Turin-club are willing to allow the 23-year-old leave if they receive a suitable offer.

According to Corriere dello Sport , Napoli are looking to make some new additions to their squad ahead of next season and Aina is one of the players under consideration.
The Blues are particularly impressed with Aina’s versatility as he can play either as a right or left wing-back.
Aina has also been linked with a return to England, with West Ham United and Everton said to be interested in his services.
The defender has featured in 28 Serie A games for Torino this season.

Just what you get from being an ever present international footballer and also identifying with your root, whereby, you get fortified by the greater percentage of the over 300 million positive vibration. Who would ever think Ola Aina would get this far?, Sydney Sam, Owomoyela, Nedun Onuoha etc,are you all there?. I heard one of you got beating by that yeye man Ibrahimovich? Is that true?
@Glory, it was Oguchi Onyewu that had issue with ibrahimovic and he didn’t get beaten o! He was even the one that wounded Ibrahimovic during burst up.
Na naija guy we dey talk na.
Nedun onuoha also had a fight with him
Nedum had an issue with Ibrahimovic, when Ibrahimovic apologised nedum didn’t accept his apology
If Oshimen seals the deal with Napoli, Ola should also move if they come calling. It will help them to both settle in the club fast and enjoy the game. Happy for Ola’s progress from Chelsea Reserve to Championship to Italy and now a Top Italian club is after him. As Glory stated above, this is what you get playing for a National team that loves you and gives you play time.
If Saka should choose us and keep on with his form at Arsenal, Top clubs like Madrid, Barca will just start rushing him. It’s the fact
True talk @ Chairmanfemi. Can’t wait to see Osimene n Aina playing for Napoli. I have been sooo impressed by this Aina guy. I have had a proper study of him and can tell anyone that cares to listen, that boy has got attacking midfielder qualities in him. Ola Aina is 5 in 1 player, so where you are only required to take 23 players maximum to a tournament, with Ola you will be taking virtually 28 players with you.
Well said.
Ah…dont let Chima catch you o. According to him Musa Mohammed is FAR BETTER than Ola Aina…..LMAO. Just the same way Isaac Success is FAR BETTER than Odion Ighalo
Lolzzz@ Drey My brother I peeped into the forum to make sure @Chima no dey online before I send ooo. Na d way to go nowadays ooo cos I no wan collect oo.
Hahahahaha…..abi Kamaru Usman don first collect for in hand..? Nor be only collect, na tax collector. LMAO
Not saying Musa Mohammed is better than Ola o but Musa Mohammed’s quality is a No-brainer! Forget the fact that he plays in Crotia(which is not a poor Footballing Country), His consistency there is applaudable. I follow him every week and he plays week in week out.
With the quality we have in the Super Eagles RB role today in Aina, Ehiz, Maestro Ebuehi and partially Awaziem and Shehu, I know it will be hard for Musa to get a Call up unless he moves to a Top club in a more reputable league. The moment he does that, I don’t see any reason he shouldn’t be given a fair chance in the team. He is a good player
Double gbosa for you bro! Check this out! Aina is unarguable the faster defender, the best ball driller, a player with the best passer of ball with both feet, support the attack with his overlapping runs(to give assists to strikers) among all our other defenders. His only weakness is his the defensive side of the game which I can attribute to the system of formarion being played in Torino.
Well in my opinion he has fared well in his defensive duties as well for the super eagles.
Ola Aina has been impressive in the colours of the super eagles especially post nations cup performances. His all round displays has improved compared to when he first joined the group and missed out in a couple of tournaments, but as it stands,if he carry’s on to improve on his performances, his position in the national team will be secured for the foreseeable future.
Finally,i hope the Napoli deal pulls through, apparently, having two international starters playing regularly football for a top Italian team will help to swell the confidence levels as well pedigree of the super eagles.
No doubt about it, defensively he has improved way better than when he was playing for Chelsea reserve team. I know he will get better especially if he get to move to a club that play 4 man at the back because he had always played as a wing back from his days in Chelsea team to hull city and now torino except occasionally when he is playing for eagles. Without a doubt he is a very good player and he is million miles better than musa mohammed.
Musa Muhammad deserves a chance with the eagles. I don’t see any reason why he isn’t been invited. There is nothing wrong with Croatia league. After all abdulahi was in Cyprus when he was playing regularly for gernot rohr. Was abdulahi ever better than musa Muhammad? Comparing musa to aina is like comparing alves to maicon (both Brazilians) musa dubbed alves and aina reminds me of maicon. Both players are good but musa for me possesses more quality than aina though aina is the most inform. Musa has a world class crosses in is boot. And can shoot very well from distance, including free kicks. He dribbles very well and hardly make mistakes. He also have a good game reading. His network is of high gigabytes in terms of connection with other players. Please rohr invite this guy and please stop forcing awaziem into us he is not our type. In addition we have azubuike as a title winner in Turkey please we prefer him to Mikel agu and azeez.
Was abdulahi ever better than musa Muhammad…?
It seems someone has forgotten that Abdullahi made our 2016 U23 olypic team as our right back at Rio Olympics ahead of Musa “dani alves” mohammed and started all 6 games at the Olympics providing 2 assists. Musa couldnt even make Siasia’s standby list. Abdullahi has gone on to grow into the same RB role in the SE and made that position his own all through the journey to Russia 2018
Most people are still rating the likes of Musa and Alampasu based on their performances at the U17 WC 7 years…SEVEN WHOLE YEARS ago…..When last did you watch him play at club level…??? We saw Musa at the U20s….where were the world class crosses, where were the freekicks, where were the dribbles, where were the long shots from distance, how many of these does he still do regularly in his clubs till today. “He dribbles very well and hardly make mistakes. He also have a good game reading, His network is of high gigabytes in terms of connection with other players”….he has all these and yet couldn’t make the 1st team of his former turkish club (IBB) where Azubike currently plays and has just won the league…??? loaned out a couple of times (3 loan deals) and ended up in Gorica in Croatia with all these qualities…??? Same Musa muhammed made his debut and currently has all his SE caps under Rohr way before Aina came in, which juju did Aina use to stay relevant and tie down a place in the SE…??? From Istanbul Baseksehir to Zeljeznicar (Bosnia) to Plovdiv (Bulgaria) to Gorica (Croatia) and people think this “exceptional nigerian dani-alves” wouldnt have caught the eye of the biggest teams in these countries if he really where so exceptional….???
I’ve watched Musa’s games with Gorica before the pandemic a couple of times and he still plays his ‘sabon-gari’ brand of football which he played years ago at youth level, still lacks positional discipline and still bombs forward without plan. If he does not dump that style (which worked perfectly at youth level but doesnt work at the top level where you will get punished if you do not play with your brains) and upgrade himself technically to the level of the demands of the top level of football….even Shehu Abdulahhi will keep getting invited ahead of him. I have nothing against Musa muhammed. He was an exciting player 7 years ago, but I’ve not seen much improvement in his game from what he showed 7 years ago. It is an insult to even size him near Ola Aina. Its not by chance that Aina has moved from Hull to Torino in the Serie A and his currently being courted by the likes of AC Milan and Napoli…the upward trajectory is not by luck.
Dr Drey, you no go kill person with laugh, which one be ‘Sabon-gari’ brand of football.
@Dr Drey, you said it all, nothing to add.
From the U-20 tournament in New Zealand, it was obvious that Musa Muhammad’s game was only suited for U-17 level. If there was any doubt about the immaturity of his game, the few appearances in the Super Eagles colours erased all such doubts. I’m always surprised when his name comes up once a while here. I keep on asking “did these guys watch Musa’s pathetic performance at the U-20 tournament, and subsequent appearances in Super Eagles colours”. When Musa’s game grows to the desired level(if ever), he won’t need people campaigning for him in the comment boxes of Completesports, his performance will speak for him.
@collins aina and musa are very good players but i will allways pick aina ahead of musa and shehu. aina is very strong and skiful can play in center and the left back position he deserve his place in the national team. As for musa and shehu. I wonder why GR has not been inviting musa he is better than shehu. Musa is super eagles material his performance against athletico madrid was fantastic. The problem we have are the coaches am still saying it we dont have a good coach. a good coach can not pick shehu and idowu ahead of musa and aina. After the friendly match against athletico madrid i was expecting the coach to include the likes musa. k Nwakali. Usman mohamed. to the w/cup party. these guys are talanted and deserve to be in w/cup and last nation cup.
So Musa should be called up for SE because he did well in a non-competitive match…the next thing would be pleas to invite Kel Nwakali because he’s posted above-average performance for us….we’ve all heard about Zaidu Sanusi in Portugal…his performances this season speaks for itself…
When the so called scout is just sitting in his house and his account is being credited just to feature for the national team. He already as his players so musa is not part of his list. or please ask him when last did he go to watch musa in croatia, and our online coaches how many have been watching croatian league to know he is not fit for the eagles
Nothing against Drey o but how can you lie that you went to Croatia to watch Musa?? How?? I can’t be here and watch you paint white, Black! Trying to rubbish Musa Mohammed cuz you don’t like him for your personal reasons.
You said he hasn’t improve 7 years ago till date?? Like you didn’t travel to Uyo to watch him against Atletico too or he was so pathetic in that match to you. Even his performance, his attribute as a RB no one in the Super Eagles have it till date! Except for EBUEHI. The bumping forward style with confidence, connecting with players and yet still performing his defensive duties superbly well. Only Ebuehi showed us what we’ve been missing against Argentina pre-world cup.
The most annoying part is YOU judging him based on Club he plays for as if you don’t know the Problem, discrimination, race and several other factors our Home-grown Nigerian players face abroad. If you really know what they call talent, you’ll agree with me that Kelechi Nwakali and his brother Chidebere, Musa Mohammed, Usman Mohammed are not supposed to be playing in one lowly league down there in Europe. Even Oshimen suffered same at Wolfsburg! Then you’d have castigated him too but look where he is today after moving to Belgium. If Mohammed is that bad like you are painting him to be, lacks positional sense and whatever you say is his deficiency, His Coach in HNK Gorica won’t be playing him week-in week out. Abi you now know more than His Coach too?? So let’s assume you watched him sincerely in Croatia, you watched with your “dislikeness” towards him so you couldn’t judge right.
I’ll keep praying for him to make the Big step up to a more referred club like Oshimen did and I’ll remind you then Musa Mohammed is the real deal!
They shouldn’t be in a lowly league? Haha
1) Nwakali(kelechi) was literally kicked out of Arsenal…and he wasnt even a regular for Porto B
2) Chidebere Nwakali has played for 8 clubs and his just 23…he has never been able to maintain a first 11 spot
3) Musa has not done anything in his club to even dream of making the SE…Zaidu Sanusi is all over the news and having a lot of transfer rumours but your so so called Alves is still not generating any rumour it shows he’s not outstanding.
The only reason they’re in a’lowly league’ is because you hype them unnecessarily…why not give them chance to grow and improve…that’s how Nwakali said he’s ready for super eagles….he said this during the period he was clubledd
Clubless*
Abeg help us remind them o @ Jones. A gold fish has no hiding place. Chidera Ejuke was in Norway and was spotted in faraway holland. Moses simon and Sam Kalu where in Slovakia and were spotted in faraway Belgium. Aina was in Hull city and was spotted by Torino in Italy. Zaidu Sanusi who is making waves in Portugal now was snapped up by Santa Clara from the portugese 3rd division…..all these were even before they played for or became an integral part of the SE set up. Those who have been part of our junior national teams but still cant stand tall at club level are the ones that are FAR BETTER than the ones growing from strength to strength both club-wise and in the national team. May our personal sentiments not lead us astray.
“…Nothing against Drey o but how can you lie that you went to Croatia to watch Musa..”
Pls copy and paste where I said I WENT to Croatia to watch Musa…??? Or are you reading something different from what I wrote above…??. All the matches you watch do you go there in person to sit in a stadium and watch them…??? Abi fanatism and sentiments are beginning to affect your eye sight
You make reference to the match against Athletico (which we even lost to an holidaying side that didnt even enter gear 2 of their normal game)…pls go back and watch it and tell us any significant or spectacular thing Musa did as the RB in the match…the full match is still available of youtube…he wasnt even in the top 5 performers on the day. the Nwakalis, eduok, usman all had better performances than him.
So Musa is victim of discrimination, race etc in the same Istanbul BB where Azubuike Okechukwu has just won a league title abi….He was a victim of racial discrimination in the same Plovdid where Stephen Eze and Abdulahhi Mustapha are playing in Bulgaria…?? He is the only home-grown player that has moved to europe, that is why he is facing racial discrimination while the likes of Osimhen, Chukwueze, and the were born and bred in Europe……Look for another excuse for incompetence, the race card is old fashioned. You cant play in 4 clubs and be discriminated against in all 4 of them if you are so “Fantabulously Exceptional” as you have described Musa muhammed….was it also racial discrimination that was his problem at the U20s…? Was it also racial discrimination that made Siasia dump him for Shehu at the U23s….? Thank God he is also a northerner like Shehu, otherwise maybe your excuse would have been that Siasia chose Shehu ahead of him to balance federal character. It must also have been racial discrimination that prevented him from tying down a pace in the SE despite close to 10 invitations to the national team. The reason why he is in Gorica which is not even among the top clubs in Croatia is because his game is Gorica-level…when he develops his game above gorica level, technically and tactically, he will be sought after by a club that is bigger than the level of gorica
I also keep praying for him and every other Nigerian player to make the Big step up to a more revered clubs but if you dont step up your game, fa fa fa faoooo……you will not step up anywhere.
Osimhen did not get it right at wolfsburg, he move to Chaleroi and bam…..he isabout to become a napoli players after stopping over at Lille in france. Aina did not get it right at Chelsea, he moved to Hull bam…he’s been eyed by PSG, AC Milan and Napoli already this summer after stopping over at Torino….racial discrimination is not the reason “dani-alves” could not cut it in Turkey, Bosnia, and Bulgaria and had to settle for Gorica in Croatia….look for another excuse. Meanwhile if you have access to him…tell him to add intelligence to his game…..monkey-post style of football will not even get him into Dynamo Zagreb in Croatia not to talk of the top 5 leagues of europe.
Lastly we are in an information age…you can watch any match from any league via the internet so far the leagues has broadcast media for their matches. If you need links to watch Gorica’s matches and can post them here for you every matchday.
Bro I read Drey comment 3ce and not at any point did he said he was at the stadium to watch musa mohammed play at his club. Do you know you can actual watch every European football league matches online?
Let’s call a spade a spade, the same excuses some ex internationals are giving that the white do not wants to offer a coaching job to any black, the same excuse we are giving to players who fail to improve on their game. Because you are the best player at grade level amount to nothing if you did not up your game. We should tell theses young kids to work hard, talent his not enough.
WHy are we always faulting this lads. Are we at there training sessions to know if they aren’t working hard, Please when last did you watch Musa play to determine he is not qualified for the Super Eagles. Let the so called scout go out there and do his job
Please forgive him…LMAO. His sentiments had already clouded his reason even while he was reading…that is why Musa Mohammed is being racially discriminated against in all the 4 countries where he has played, at U20, U23 and the SE. The likes of Ndidi, Simon, Nacho, Chukwueze, Osimhen who have raised their games far beyond what we saw them play when they were little 15, 16 year old kids must be europe breds.
@chairman femi. Thank you verry much for telling Drey the rest about musa muhamed. Habba drey, how could u be so unfair to an incredible high breaded right back of musa’s personality. Anyway i nor blame you i remember you are a goal keeper you cant see what attacking midfielders like us observes.
Hahahaha….unfair….?? If there is any falsehood in everything I have said, pls point it out. We saw that high breed RB at u20 level…we saw him not able to make Siasia’s U23 olympic team…we’ve seen him in the SE….No improvement. Brother, 2013 is not 2020..all this he scores freekicks, he shoots from distance, he dribbles very well…he has world class crosses…were 7 years ago when he was playing with his mates at U17 level and in youth teams. Arithmetics is not differential Calculus. U17 is not senior team football. Enough of the unnecessary hype and ‘Dani Alves’ moniker. You are not helping him. Playing the racism card is even more ridiculous.
I’ve said it again and again, I dont have anything against that kid…I’ve watched him a couple of times this season already and what he is playing now cannot attract even Dynamo Zagreb to sign him…..not to talk of top 5 leagues in Europe where the people he hopes to contend with in the SE are playing….I am not denigrating him in anyway…its just as it is. If you like him so much contact him or his agent and ask him to improve on the tactical side of his game. Being a full back is not all about running aimlessly forward without end product. This same Musa mohammed made his debut and had his caps and used to enjoy regular call ups under Rohr before others in the fullback position in the SE emerged.
Just as @ Aleks said above, when Musa’s game finally comes of age, he wouldnt need anyone to speak for him on internet forums. Who knew Zaidu Sanusi here before…? Who had spoken about him here before…? His exploits for Santa Clara spoke for him. Trust me you will see his name on the next SE list of invitees. Sabi player nor be by hype….!!!
One thing about Drey – he focuses on one single point to form unreasonable essays. Probably cuz I didn’t include etc when I wrote “problem, discrimination, race…” That’s why he has decided to capitalize on Discrimination and Race. Is bad agent, luck and many other factors not among what’s affecting our players (talented ones) playing in lowly leagues?? Oga park well this time.
Share with us the link you use to watch Gorica matches please. At least we can all watch him this weekend
Musa Mohammed has got talent in him that Ebuehi only possess + Jara in the Super Eagles. Your lies and essays won’t make me think twice about him.
Hahahahahaha….so who is lieing between the two of us now….LMAO. You are here making a case for a player you OBVIOUSLY have not watched play in probably 2-3 years, a player whose best days were 7 years ago when he was competing at U17 level, as better than those we are seeing competing successfully at the highest levels in football’s top 5 leagues week-in week-out and even conjured up theories that I went to Croatia physically when I never said anything close to that. Courtesy demands you apologize for that BLATANTLY false accusation……LMAO….thats the least you could have done for yourself. My ‘unreasonable essays’ obviously have more than 1 point. It was you who chose to play the race card as excuse for the stagnation in MM’s game…… so maybe it is you that should do the parking well…Lolz.
Before it was discrimination and race, now it is “agent, luck and many other factors”. It is probably “agent, luck and many other factors” that made MM not to make the U23s and SE too…..Continue conjuring excuses for him while the others are raising the standard of their games and making upward progression. As if players don’t fire incompetent agents…Lolz
So it was Ejuke’s agent that showcased his talent to the world…? It was Dennis’s agent that showcased his talent to the world….LMAO…maybe it was Osimhen’s agent that also showcased his talent to the world too…Lolz. The Zaidu Sanusi that we are raving about at the moment in portugal must thank his agent too for playing his football for him on the pitch.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…..if you like tell the World Musa mohd is Dany Alves + Cafu put together (the same way Chima says he is Joshua Kimmich..Lolz)….if he doesnt improve his game above the level at which those in the SE are playing now….It will take a MASSIVE miracle and crises situation for him to even smell SE camp talk more of wearing the jersey. When “agent, luck and many other factors” start workingin his favour as it is working in the favour of those who are there now, he will start getting regular callups too.
Dont worry, Gorica have their last game of the regular season on the 24th….remind me to share the link here for you to watch, i will gladly do so. You can as well search out another links for yourself so that you dont go telling lies “on top of my head” again that my link is showing the wrong musa muhammed….Lolz.
Well, I trust me coach…
Your form determines your call up…
