Serbia defeated Greece by 94:72 in Belgrade in a friendly game that served as preparation for the Olympic Games on Monday.
Serbia’s Nikola Jokic and Bogdan Bogadanovic ended the clash as the leading scorers, as the former recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, while the latter led all players in scoring with 19 points in his account on 7-for-11 shooting, making all five of his triples.

Giannis Antetokounmpo as reported by Basketnews, had 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists for 21 PIR, while Kostas Papanikolaou was the only other Greek player with a double-digit scoring outcome.
Serbia’s quest to secure a win started in the first quarter, as they led 19-11 in the middle of the first quarter, but Greece threw in their arsenal to cut the deficit to five points to end the period (26-21).
The second quarter saw Greece’s attempts to narrow the deficit to fewer than 4 points but met Serbia’s resilience.
Serbia held the double-digit advantage throughout the majority of the period, until they comfortably led with the 20-point mark, and Greece had to suffer a defeat.
Serbia will compete in Group C in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games alongside Team USA, Puerto Rico, and South Sudan. Greece will play in Group A with Australia, Spain, and Canada.
