Cameroon head coach Clarence Seedorf believes the Super Eagles have what it takes to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, reports Completesports.com.
The Indomitable Lions’ hopes of winning a back to back title ended on Saturday after they were handed a 3-2 defeat by the Super Eagles.
The former AC Milan star who expressed disappointment on his team’s early exit from the competition said the Super Eagles can go all the way in the competition.
“We started the game slowly but grew into it. After we went ahead, we were satisfied with the scoreline instead of going for more goals. Nigeria have shown that they can score goals, and they did that against us,” Seedorf told reporters after the game.
“Nigeria have a good team and they can win the competition. They have the players that can win it for them.”
Seedorf expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in the game even though he accepted his players made some costly mistakes.
“We made some mistakes today and paid a high price for that. Offensively, we produced more, so in that sense I am satisfied,” he added.
“I am sorry for my players for this loss. I hope that the fighting spirit that we have shown in this competition can be carried through into the future.”

Oga Seedorf we thank you for our well wishes. The SE mission this year has a divine blessing. We are being recompensed for the accumulated injustice visited on the SE over the years by corrupt soccer administrators. . The defeat of the Indomitable Lions has little to do with your skills as a coach. Remember Henry Nwosu’s goal that was disallowed in 1988? Or the disgraceful decision that gave you victory in 2000? It’s payback time.
And to South Africa, how about the 2 goals that were denied the SE in JHB? Payback time too.
Shebi na dis same coach some arm chair coaches were clamoring for to replace rohr?? Shebi Una don see as e be na? The man has been forced to confess and label Nigeria a very good team. You have spoken well, oga and God’s divine blessings go see us through to the finals.
Just a quick reminder for Bafana Bafana,if u guys think you can come and play taekwando in the 1/4 final una lie because VAR go disappoint una,
Time to now enjoy real 21st century Soccer
See madagini o
South Africa can run but, they can not hide now. Nigeria must pay them what they own us. Rohr please, don’t put your head in the sand again this time. the South Africans are not a push over. Mr Rohr, you can not afford to make a mistake this time. Push for maximum efforts from your team against these South Africans.
If we can beat the South Africans, we shall win the AFCON
How come you are now thinking of we winning, I thought you said Cameroon will send us packing.
It is well.
I hope as one sharp forumite already stated that there will be VAR in action whenever we meet that dirty Bafana o! Because we’re gonna need VAR for more than one reason when/if we meet those agoraphobics with very erroneously overgrown albeit well undeserved egos, (Well nor be dem fault sha! na all those 9ja’s wey de for SA dey act wrong and continue to drag 9ja name for dirt, wey de mek those drunks dey think say dem better reach us not to mention better pass self!) And the coach must not act like a cabbage neither should our boys! Stand up tall and fight like for like, fire for fire and even if we must assume the bully boys position then so be it! I know that there is no danger of the boys getting used to that kind of nasty way of being because that is not us, it’s simply not in 9ja’s DNA’s and that is why we often loose to 3 teams in particular chief among which is Bafana, secondly those ras clats from Angola and then the chief gra gra players of Senegal, those are the 3 teams that no Nigerian coach so far has cottoned on to and sussed out the way to play and beat. Based on merit alone, ie, skill, greatness, potential, ability and giftedness, we are miles ahead of all these and in fact any African teams currently even with the team we have now which very inferiorly compares to some of our great teams of years gone by, yet this team still has it in them to take this Trophy, however we need switched on guys in charge! I have been clamouring for/about this for donkeys now and I will not stop until the message filters through! We cannot continue to flatter to impress and take over yet be falling short every time. We need to wake up and get rid of any “bogey” teams especially SA, we must meet them head on, stand up tall, refuse to be bullied or intimidated and if necessary, beat them not only through superior skills and general seniority that is our right over them but also beast them up physically if they try and go there(Which, rest assured they will) Rohr must not take any softness from the referee, and we must not let them get away with nothing and subdue them in every way! Let’s do this now and build a legacy of always turning up ready to beat Bafana, Angola and Senegal regardless of anything else every time we meet, not intermittently, or every now and again, No! But every single time! In short we need to make them our wives from this day henceforth!
I don talk my own p! And I nor fit shout abegi!
The only other thing I can see if if theyu escape their beating at our hands this time and even then, they will only be postponing it until the next time God willing! If they escape this time and another team gives them a right spanking, then that’ll be just fine too with me. I rest my case!
Happy Thanksgiving Sunday to all!
Even if the SE wins this AFCON cup, it will be inspite of Rhor.
Rhoe is not fir for a team the caliber or SE.
Otherwise tell me a high profile soccer country Rhor has coached before the SE.
#Win or loose Rhor must go.
#The SE deserves better.
@cj He will go and u will come abi?.that man is the best coach that has ever coached our country.the records speaks for him.
