Former Manchester United stars Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves have reacted to Odion Ighalo’s first goal for the Red Devils, in the Europa League second-leg round of 32 clash at Old Trafford, Completesports.com reports.
Ighalo opened his goals account for United when he made it 2-0 off an assist from Juan Mata, as the home team went on to win 5-0 and progress 6-1 on aggregate.

Commenting on Ighalo’s goal, Scholes said:
“He did well, he looked sharp. He hasn’t played since December 1. He’s come to the team at the right time – just as in a creative player in Fernandes has come in.”
And according to Hargreaves: “I like the fact he gives them a reference point. He’s really comfortable with his back to the defender and I think he did that well.”
Thursday’s appearance was Ighalo’s fourth since joining them on loan from Shanghai Shenhua.
