German club Schalke and Italian outfit Lazio will look to sign Nigeria forward Taiwo Awoniyi from Liverpool on a permanent transfer this summer, Completesports.com reports.
Awoniyi linked up with the Reds in August 2015 for a fee around £400,000 and was immediately loaned out German FSV Frankfurt.
The 21-year-old has also spent time on loan at Belgian clubs NEC Nijmegen, KAA Gent and Royal Excel Mouscron.
According to reports in the Mirror and German media, Liverpool will demand £10m for the young forward which will represent a massive profit from what they paid for his services.
Awoniyi has scored 12 goals and provided three assists across all competitions this season for KAA Gent and Royal Excel Mouscron.
The forward was part of Nigeria’s U-17 side that conquered the world at the
2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
He also represented Nigeria at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand after winning the 2015 African U-20 Championship in Senegal.
Awoniyi is currently part of Nigeria’s U-23 side that is seeking a place at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
