Super Falcons star Ashleigh Plumptre scored and provided three assists in Al Ittihad’s 13-1 win away to Jeddah in the Saudi Arabia women’s Cup on Friday.
The dominant win means Plumptre and her teammates have progressed into the quarter-finals.
This season is the second edition of the Saudi Arabia women’s Cup after it kicked off in the 2023-24 campaign.
After providing the assist for Al Ittihad’s second goal on four minutes, Plumptre scored in the 15th minute to put her side 5-0 ahead.
In the 29th minute, Plumptre set up Al Ittihad’s seventh goal before laying the pass again for the ninth goal two minutes into first half added time.
After a brilliant first half performance, the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup star was replaced before the start of the second half.
In her first season Plumptre scored eight goals in 12 appearances in the Saudi Arabia women’s league.
She suffered a serious injury which ruled her out of the Suoer Falcons squad that featured at this year’s Paris Olympics.
