Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong was on target for Al Kholood in their 4-3 away loss to Al Ittihad in the Saudi Professional League on Saturday.
Troost-Ekong has now taken his tally to two goals in 18 games in the League this season.
The 31-year-old gave Al Kholood the lead on 15 minutes before Myziane Maolida made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute.
With 10 minutes left in the first half Al Ittihad scored off a strike by Abdultahman Al-Oboud.
Former Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur forward Steven Bergwijn made it 2-2 nine minutes of added time in the first half.
Hassan Kadesh scored to put Al Ittihad 3-2 ahead of an assist from N’Golo Kante before Bergwijn got his second to make it 4-2.
In the 92nd minute Maolida was on target again to bring the scoreline to 4-3.
It is a second defeat in the last five games (three wins) for Al Kholood who are in 12th position on 19 points in the league table.
