Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo says that the Saudi Pro League is a very competitive league following his first season in the division.
Ronaldo was signed to Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr from Manchester United in January 2023 after the World Cup.
In an interview with the SPL as quoted by BBC, Ronaldo said that the league has many good players.
“If they are coming, big players and big names, young players, ‘old players’, they are very welcome because if that happens, the league will improve a little bit,” Ronaldo said
“The league is very good but I think we have many opportunities to still grow. The league is very competitive. We have very good teams, very good Arab players.”
Ronaldo’s racked up 14 goals and two assists in 16 Saudi Pro League games this season.
Al-Nassr finished second in the Saudi League with 67 points from 30 matches this campaign
