Ighalo! This guy should be on the list for afcon! We can not leave out such a striker lol.
@MONKEY POST na you be dis lol.
Yea GOLDEN CHILD you’re right we need an experience fire power up front to support the Young emerging osimhen. One who is super eagles built and knows about african soccer not all those european fraud
Nigeria’s problem is not in the attack, Midfield, defence are shaky, goalkeepers are nervous But nobody must shut the door on Ighalo
Sometimes, some fans of the super eagles think national team football is all about selling pepper in the market. Ighalo scores in Saudi and he should be on the list to afcon. What a statement.
As if ighalo is Ronaldo. When we brought him back for one match we saw what he did. He scored all the goals.
Instead of us looking at critically at areas where we had issues like midfield and goal keeping positions we are talking about ighalo.
Monkey even said Oshimen and others are young just like his mentor Genet rohr used to say.
If oshimen is young when is he not going to be old enough to score goals st afcon?
As of ighalo was not scoring in England when he was in England or as if he wan never top scorer for the national team when he was active in the national team.
So he is a persona non grata simply because he didn’t score on his return to the SE after a long absence.
Why has Ronaldo not stopped being Ronaldo simply because he now plays and scores in Saudi league..?
Nigerian fans would have forced him out of the SE because he is too old, has stayed too long in the national team, now plays in the Saudi league or they want to give “younger” players a chance….LMAOoo
Mr man so u go bench oshimen and bonafice for ur ighalo. Bomb dey ur head
If a player is older but in good form should be open to invitation.
Ighalo is in good form likewise Balogun,so it’s up to the coach to make decisions.
Ighalo don’t have to start gamed, but honestly,I would prefer an Ighalo to Awoniyi and Onuachu
Imbecile….if Ighalo knows his way to goal in a SE shirt than others while will they not be benched.
Or who told you AFCON is Serie A or Bundesliga…?
Did ighalo go to the 2019 AFCON as 1st choice 9 foe the SE…? Did he not end the tournament as top scorer…? Was he not playing in Chinese league when he emerged afcon top scorer.. ?
Did Aghaowa go to 2000 afcon as first choice striker…? Did he not end up as top scorer…? Was he not playing in Tunisian league then…?
Did Osaze attend the 2004 afcon as first choice…? Did he not nearly end the tournament also as a top scorer. Was he not playing in Belgian league then…?
The only striker who deserves to start in a SE shirt ahead of Ighalo is Osimhen…..otherwise he is a far better 9 than all the ones we are currently parading….and that’s a fact.
Our problem does not need the coming back of ighalo. That’s not the problem of the super eagles. We need a disciplined and creative midfield that gives quality service to the strikers.
Ighalo is good and doing well but we also have younger players who are good and also doing well in better Leagues in Europe.
This is the case with balogun too. He just returned to form but it’s so sad we also have defenders who have not done badly who are also doing well.
Ajayi has done well in defence. Baseey is doing what he should be doing now. Ekong is also not doing badly and he is younger than balogun.
I would have loved him to be on the train but the coach thought otherwise.
So Goalscoring is the problem of Portugal, or Senegal does not have players younger than Mane….that they still keep getting invited to their national teams…LMAOoo
Goalscoring is not our problem but we are struggling to score goals from open play against the lesothos, zimbabwes and Guinea Bissaus of this world with your so-called younger strikers who do not know their way to goal in a SE shirt.
Without osimhen, we struggle in attack all the time and in your mind we have “younger players”
What Is the essence of younger players if they cannot deliver….? What is the essence of retiring old players for young players who cannot by themselves retire the so-called old players…LMAOoo
Nobody has made it mandatory they must be in the team….but persona non grating or retiring them because of some so-called “young” players who have ended up becoming collosal disappointments is quite laughable.
Ahmed Musa used to be blocking as much as 12 people from the SE….LMAOoo…Musa has been away from the team for a while now and the so-called 12 people have not been able to tie down a starting shirt in the SE….LMAOoo.
Ajayi and Bassey combination in the defense has been so good that people are now clamoring for the return of Balogun and Ekong….LMAOoo
So much for the so called “younger” players.
Your NAME has CHRISTIAN in it but sometimes I wonder if you are typing from AMADIOHA SHRINE.
So I should call a 24/25 year osimhen n co old?
Smh…
When they now turn 28-30 I should be calling them Methuselah???
How many players have we frustrated out of the national team like this? We dismiss players so easily based on age and the club they play for. The match against Ghana would have been different if a player like Ighalo was paired with Osi in that attack. Djiku and Amartey would have had a twin devil to deal with, not just Osimhen. Saudi Arabia League this season is different from last season and if a player is consistently scoring there, a player with a good AFCON record, a player with a good national team record, he should be considered ahead of players like Dennis who is being earmarked for sack in Turkey.
Don’t mind them.
The only clear chance we fashioned out of that Ghana game was in the 83rd minute when Ighalo knocked down the ball Osimhen bicycle-kicked to the popular stand of the stadium.
Ighalo may not have pace or brute strength anymore but his movements off the ball, positioning and finish can still be rated as top notch….way better than these other so-called younger ones. That was what earned him about 5 goals in 7 starts in that short spell at Man Utd.
What has Dennis done in the last 3 years better than an Ighalo for both club and country…?
