Saracens picked up a late bonus-point win over Leicester and returned to the top of Premiership on points difference. Sarries were never in total control of the game but late tries from Ben Spencer and David Strettle ensured they took the five points needed to overhaul Exeter.
The defending champions were forced to come from 10-5 behind at the break after Jonah Holmes had given Leicester the lead.
However, Saracens eventually won 33-10 with Richard Wigglesworth and Tom Woolstencroft also crossing over.
Saracens and Exeter are now level on 52 points after 13 games and Tigers head coach Geordan Murphy had no complaints after his side were beaten.
He told Leicester Mercury: “The scoreline ran away from us a bit at the end of the game. Saracens are good enough to do that to you when you are chasing the game in your own 22. For 60 minutes we managed the game pretty well.
“Obviously it is not the most attractive of games when you play here you go the air and stay in the territory battle and I thought it was pretty competitive when we were doing that.
“When we got behind on the scoreboard we just blinked and Saracens did well to put the ball in behind us and got some really good penalties chipped away at the scoreboard then scored two tries off our mistakes.”
