Rugby enthusiasts are in for another thrilling experience as the 12th edition of the Sandie Beach Rugby tournament takes place from 7 to 8 December 2024 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, and Sol Beach, Lekki, Lagos.
Sandie Beach Rugby has developed into an annual ritual which has become
a regular fixture in rugby activities in Nigeria.
This year’s edition which has been tagged ‘ The Upgrade’ will provide
another atmosphere of pure rugby tournament in the sands which laced
with music, pageantry, food, performances and other games.
The rugby festival will again, serve as a veritable vent for relaxing in a city known for it’s upscale restlessness and opportunities.

Turbo Crest, the foremost rugby promoter revealed that activities would
begin on Saturday December 7 at the National Stadium Lagos where
enthusiasts will feel the crunchy tackles and Tries at the symbolic
arena free of charge.
Activities would switch to a higher height on Sunday at the Sol Beach
Elegushi, Lekki for more octane level as rugby meets the beach.
Rugby lovers, enthusiasts and fun seekers would however, part with a fee
to access the massive entertainment that awaits them.
Meanwhile, the initiator Tubosun Johnson who was excited on the milage the Sandie Beach Rugby has generated over the years said that this
edition offers a good opening for fun seekers to enjoy their cravings in
an atmosphere where rugby meets entertainment.
While calling for more financial support from individuals and corporate
organisations as the countdown begins, he commended Mariteam, Whassan,
Famboss, KTS, Nido and others for propping up the event over the years.

“The show of rugby is going to wow everybody because we know what Sandie Beach Rugby has been able to bring to the field even when the game was scarce in the country,” Johnson stated.
“So what we have for this edition is massive and thanks to our partners who have been sustaining us. We can’t thank them enough.We urge individuals and corporate organisations to join us in making it bigger as we plan to deliver another successful Sandie Beach Rugby.”
