Crystal Palace’s resolve to keep defender Mamadou Sakho is set to be put to the test as Monaco line up a big-money January move.
The Principality outfit is struggling at the wrong end of the Ligue 1 table and are prepared to splash the cash in the winter transfer window in the hope of getting out of trouble.

Head coach Thierry Henry has made improving the defense one of his top priorities and the club have earmarked Sakho as their number one choice, according to reports in the French press.
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev is understood to be heading up the pursuit personally and is hopeful of tempting the France international into moving closer to home.
However, Palace will undoubtedly have no interest in letting their top defender leave mid-way through the season, the 28-year-old having featured in every Premier League game for the Eagles so far. The Eagles paid close to £30million to sign Sakho from Liverpool in the summer of 2017 and would want considerably more than that before they would consider parting ways with the France international.
