Bukayo Saka has equaled Arsenal legend Thierry Henry’s Premier League feat after the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton at the Emirates on Saturday.
Arsenal took the lead in the 38th minute thanks to Kai Havertz who lobbed the keeper after he was set up by Saka.
According to OptaJoe, Saka is the first Arsenal player to provide an assist in each of the first three games of a Premier League season since Thierry Henry in 2004-05.
However, things did not go as planned for the Gunners as they had to play the rest of the game with 10 men following Declan Rice’s sending off.
The former West Ham captain was shown a second yellow card after he was judged to have kicked the ball despite a free-kick awarded to Brighton.
The away took advantage of the sending off and got rewarded as Joao Pedro equalised.
But all Brighton’s effort to get the winner proved abortive as Arsenal defender stoutly to secure a point.
