Southampton are the latest club to join the race for Wolfsburg forward Victor Osimhen in this transfer window.
The 20-year-old Nigeria international has spent the past season on loan at Belgian club Sporting Charleroi, where he scored 19 goals in all competitions and provided four assists.
A number of clubs across Europe have been alerted to Osimhen’s form, with Premier League Watford, Italian giants AC Milan and Lille of the French Ligue 1 said to be interested.

However, reports are claiming Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is keen to take the youngster to St Mary’s to beef up his attacking options.
It is not known if Wolfsburg are keen to keep Osimhen in the German Bundesliga following a successful season in Belgium, although they would command a fee in the region of 12 million euros before contemplating a sale.
