Super Eagles forward, Sylvester Igbonu scored a brace for his Russian side FK UFA who fought back from a goal down to win 4-1 at home against Ural Yekaterinburg, Completesports.com reports.
Eric Bicfalvi put Ural Yekaterinburg 1-0 up after 16 minutes but Andres Vimbergar then equalised for the hosts, FC UFA six minutes later.
Ondrej Vanek’s penalty goal seven minutes after the break put UFA ahead for the first time in the clash before Sergey Bryzgalov was dismissed.
The former Midtjylland striker extended his side’s lead to 3-1 with a brilliant header in the 79th minute before he sealed the win in stoppage time with a cool finish.
The Igbonu’s double took his tally to nine in 23 league games for FC UFA so far this season.
The win moves FC UFA to 14th position in the Russian Premier League table, five points away from the automatic relegation spot.
The six-cap Super Eagles’ fringe forward has now scored 11 goals so far this season in 31 games across all competitions.
