Belgian champions Royal Antwerp have sent good luck message to Alhassan Yusuf ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Yusuf was included in the Super Eagles as replacement for Wilfred Ndidi due to injury.
The midfielder was initially included in the 40-man provisionally list.
Ndidi was injured during Championship leaders Leicester City’s 2-0 win at Cardiff City on December 29.

Reacting to Yusuf’s inclusion, Antwerp wrote on X:”Alhassan Yusuf has just been called up to the Nigerian national team. Good luck at the Africa Cup, Yus!”
Yusuf joined Antwerp in 2021 and helped the club win the Belgian Jupiler title last season.
The 23-year-old has made 22 appearances, scored one goal and made three assists in all competitions this season.
