Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong will face a stern test today (Friday) when his Italian club Udinese come up against champions Juventus in a Serie A clash at the Allianz Stadium, Turin, reports Completesports.com.
Troost-Ekong, 25, who has featured regularly for Julio Velazquez’s side since linking up with the club last summer will be up against some of the best strikers in the Serie A.
Juventus manager Maximilliano Allegri is expected to line up the likes of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and a host of his other top stars in the game.
The Biaconneri won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the Dacia Arena, Udine last October with the duo of Rodrigo Bentacur and Ronaldo getting the goals for Juventus.
Troost-Ekong started the game and featured for the entire 90 minutes.
He has made 25 league appearances for his club this season but is yet to register a goal to his name.
Udinese head into the game in buoyant mood following wins in their last two Serie A games against Chievo Verona and Bologna.
Juventus who sit at the top of Serie A standings look on course to win another title having established a 16 point lead over second placed Napoli who they defeated 2-1 last week.
Udinese on the other hand occupy 15th position in the table with 25 points from 25 matches.
