Italian champions Juventus defeated 10-man AC Milan 1-0 to win the Supercoppa Italiana in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday with Cristiano Ronaldo netting the winner, reports Completesports.com.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s header in the 61st minute proved decisive as the Portuguese captain won his first piece of silverware as a Juve player.
The triumph was also Juventus’ eighth Supercoppa Italiana title.
After a goalless first half, Miralem Pjanic’s lofted pass into the box was headed in by Ronaldo just after the hour mark to settle a meeting between Italian football’s two most successful clubs.
It was Ronaldo’s 16th goal of the season for the Serie A leaders.
