Cristiano Ronaldo says he is facing a short spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury while playing for Portugal last night. The Juventus ace lasted just 30 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Serbia after picking up a muscle injury, that initially looked to be a serious one as he limped of the pitch.

However, speaking directly after the game, Ronaldo played down fears he had suffered something serious, claiming he will be back quickly. “I’m not worried about this injury and I’m not afraid, I know my body well. I think I’ll be fine in a week or two,” the Juve ace said.
Juventus will now be keen to get him checked out quickly to determine the full extent of the injury. But even if Ronaldo is correct, it would make him a doubt for the Champions League clash with Ajax. The first leg of the quarter-final clash takes place in two weeks and Ronaldo could face a race against time to make it.
