Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed delight reaching
200th international appearance for his side’s UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier against Iceland on Tuesday.
Ronaldo, who became the first men’s player to reach such feat, scored the only goal of the encounter in the 89th minute.
Speaking after the game, the Al-Nassr forward was delighted as he marked the special occasion with a goal.
“Triumph with a special flavor. Not only for the day it was, for the homage, for the 200th game… To top it off with a goal, I can’t ask for more.
“It was spectacular, unforgettable, for everything it generated around the game. I have to thank the Icelanders, to the federation for the surprise. And to Guinness!” Ronaldo told Record Portugal.

WHAT A GREAT, COMMITTED, DEDICATED PLAYER
THIS IS WHAT WE ARE SAYING CONCERNING THE ISSUE OF IRRELEVANT EXPERIENCE PLAYER.
*** RONALDO CLOCK 200 MATCHES FOR PORTUGAL WHILE PLAYING ON THE FIELD.
BUT IN NIGERIA, AHMED MUSA IS INCREASING HIS INTERNATIONAL CAPS FOR SUPER EAGLE WHILE SITTING ON THE BENCH (I.e. not relevant on the field of play).
INFACT, ALL THIS NONSENSE OF IRRELEVANT EXPERIENCE PLAYERS WITHOUT PLAYING HAVE TO STOP…
