Danny Murphy, a former Liverpool winger, has told Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag he can’t prevent Cristiano Ronaldo from leaving Old Trafford this summer.
In an interview with talkSPORT, Murphy stated that the Portuguese international has made up his mind to leave the club.
Recall that Ten Hag had insisted that the Portuguese superstar is not for sale, saying that the 37-year-old is part of his plans for this season.
This is coming from the Dutchman despite Cristiano Ronaldo telling the club he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer over their lack of Champions League football.

“Ten Hag seems like a bright guy, he obviously believes this is the case and we’re not privy to these conversations with Ronaldo,” Murphy told talkSPORT.
“If he wants Ronaldo there, he’s got a year left and he’s having conversations with him.
“But, the fact Ronaldo, or his representatives, has verbally come out and said he wants another challenge suggests to me that’s what will happen.
“I don’t think Ten Hag’s desire to have him there will override Ronaldo’s desire to leave.”
