Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has expressed his desire to continue managing the team by penning a new contract, reports Completesports.com.
Rohr’s current deal will expire in June and the Nigeria Football Federation is ready to offer the German an extension.
NFF president Amaju Pinnick stated on Tuesday that Rohr must abide with some conditions in the new contract.
Rohr states that money is not a motivational factor at this stage of his coaching career and is ready to continue his adventure in Nigeria.
“I’m waiting for the (contract) proposal. Things could be very easy. I don’t want more money, bonuses.I just want to keep doing this,” the former Bordeaux gaffer stated in an Instagram chat with Collin Udoh.

“Personally, I received a few offers from other countries but I rejected them. I just want to take this team to the next Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.”
Rohr, who has previously managed Gabon , Niger and Burkina Faso national teams was named Super Eagles head coach in August 2016 .
On October 7, 2017, his Nigeria-led team became the first African side to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup after a 1–0 win against Zambia.
He led Nigeria to a third-place finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

This ROHR is a good man
Rhor has invested a lot of time and money on this team he has build a very young and talented team for 4years now and at the same time qualified NIG for all the tournament we encountered during this period…He won’t just let his hard work go like that because he wants to write his name in history books…Rhor is a good coach and he should remain as coach to avoid the return of mathematical calculations in future qualifiers…. The only thing he should add to his work is the removal of fear,he should be less conservative and defensive in his approach, he should give the lads morale to attack especially in tournaments because we have a young and talented team with lots of pace embedded in them.
You’ve said it all and to add to it, Rohr as not only brought youthfulness power to the team but competition for places and also encouraging our players to player for bigger teams in bigger leagues too. Honestly is high time we need all champion league players in our team not average league players.
Oga Rohr we the Super Eagles fans want you to continue but you should always listen to us, we may not be a coach but can give you a meaningful advice which can help improve the team.
Just like when you insisted on playing mikel as a no 10,we complained severely before you were forced to play Iwobi in the position (now we feel that Iwobi needs serious competition in that role in order to force him into sitting up) or during the last world cup when you were bent on playing 4231 formation which worked very well against African opposition but failed against European opposition until you were forced into switching to 352 formation ( this stabilised the defence and the midfield).
So oga Rohr it’s important that you value us so we can work together for a better and formidable Super Eagles.
Oga Rohr you just need to work more on match reading, making the right substitution at the right time and being more confident/believe in your self also listen to your assistance when necessary.
Study players before inviting them and not inviting players you don’t trust thereby not playing the same player you invited. Everyone needs opportunity to prove himself.
Our midfield need to be more aggressive especially our CM and CAM so they can match any force in world football (that’s where we lost the match vs Algeria at AFCON, our midfield was hard pressed which caused lot of panic in the defence making us concedes the first goal and a late free kick in a dangerous area, the rest is history now).
As far as our voices are heard then we have a deal.
We wish you the best!
Indeed i am begining to like him. As he has shown that he love the super eagles geniuinling out side money, wat else do i need to a hear from a foreigner. I think love is greater than every other commandment. For this reason i command NFF to renew is contract till end of qater 2022 with immediate effect. Though he is not perfect, love perfect all situations, the love for the eagles is the begining of trophies.
Who won’t love this set of players?this is the youngest and most talented team super eagles has presented in decades… And its getting even better and younger and they are playing for top five European leagues which more will also make more moves coming season..I even heard from a reliable source that bukayo saka is willing to join SE soon…..Rhor has really done a great Job…INCASE PINNIK READS THIS PLEASE SIR LEAVE OGA RHOR LET US SEE WHERE THIS HIS EXCITING PROJECT LEADS TO.
Hihihihihi…..I laff ‘covik-ally’ (apologies to Baba)
With these types of news, the hatred in some people’s hearts will definitely burn them to ashes….LMAO.
Dear Gernot Rohr,
Carry on with your good works biko. Show those incompetent rouges in the NFF that you are a smarter oke in football politics. But be very careful when you are at it….most especially beware of that fashion/comedy show expert they planted beside you — he had a terrible history of being a stooge used by the NFF to sabotage coaches. LMAO
They want to bring their hawks to eat of another man’s hardwork. Lolz
We love what you are doing at the moment. Evil people say you are only using SE to boost your CV, a silent admission that you’ve done well because only a job well done boosts CV….A failed job is always a dent on one’s CV. So if they say you are using the SE to boost your CV….then keep it up. After all, Westerhof and Bonfrere were nobodies before coming to Nigeria and remainded nobodies since leaving Nigeria….so pls continue building your CV biko, we are almost there.
Haters say you cannot find a goalkeeper in 4 years (despite have 3 of the best and most internationally exposed Nigerian goalkeepers in your team), but wouldnt acknowledge that in this same period, you have filled 7-8 vacancies out of 11 positions without us missing the man who retired (or used to be a regular) from that position. You have silently wooed a good number of our foreign borns to committing to the SE while the oversabis are busy taking selfies all around London.
You have taken us from nowhere (where we weren’t sure if we can qualify for AFCON) to a level where we believe we can win AFCON again and even beat Almighty BRAZIL, complete with all their perennial super stars. Yet you are a lazy failure who has done NOTHING o….according to those who are currently writing their own version of the book of lamentations. Lolz
The youth and vibrance of this team excites us. The youngest team at the last AFCON, a team with 80% AFCON debutants, a team that could easy pass for our Olympic team, yet ruffling feathers of more established and experienced teams and holding them by the jugular, only needing a Mahrez magic to deny them a shot at the trophy. After onigbinde’s young team to 84 AFCON, a team which lasted till 1994, you have given us another young, dynamic and vibrant team that can last till 2029 and even longer.
What excites us more is that while the 84 squad won just 1 match at the tournament and still came back home with a silver (the beauty of an 8team AFCON) this team won 5 matches (No Nigerian squad till date has managed that in a single AFCON tournament) to end with a bronze, which gives us hope that with more maturity and experience, We can look forward to our 4th, 5th (and maybe 6th) AFCON before the 2030 world cup (if NFF does not press their usual self destruct buttons).
Don’t mind your detractors o. Keep leveraging on your strengths and improving on your weaknesses. Nigerians who are tired of heart attack, permutation and combination football are solidly behind you.
The people who have pinnick’s number should continue calling him till after 2022 WC.
Signed:
Well-meaning Nigerians.
From what I can gather, there are two set who don’t want Rohr.
1. The first set are mostly inclined towards Rohr’s leaving based on genuine worry about his technical and tactical ability. They are basically not satisfied with Rohr’s ability, his results and his development with Super Eagles. They look through his game plan and see his flaws, they totally doubt his ability to take the Super Eagles further.
This set worry is in line. They don’t hate the man . Their worry is totally born out of genuine passion for the Super Eagles. They want the Super Eagles to succeed and could always be swing to Rohr’s side if they see improvement. They are totally not hardliners.
I tell this set, I understand your worry.Sometimes I am with you. I see through Rohr’s flaws as well. But I tell you, you don’t have to worry. The man genuinely wants the best for the Eagles. He listens and do make amends. We can see that in his results and player’s invitation. Let’s keep supporting him,for the team’s sake and let time and result be the judge.
2. The second set is one I will never agree with. They are simply against the man based on the colour of his skin. They hide behind the notion of “nationalism” using the word ” Patriot” to cower their own self inferiority and racist tendencies whereby pointing the finger ( underservely) to Neo westernisation of the mind of the citizens who reason with logic and support the coach. They throw accusations at the NFF and anybody that doesn’t buy into their ideology has having inferiority complex.
In reverse psychology, they lie to themselves that they are not racist only Patriots but in the next line, they go about judging base on skin tone, giving personal examples that doesn’t correlate to the subject matter.
To these set, no one can help you. Remember, there are different colours in a rainbow.
Perception is what you see in front of the mirror. Perception is driving by your own mentality. Only you can help yourself.
To you I say; meritocracy should be your ideology.
As usual your right up is always spot on, I say kudos to you Mr Hush.
Keep it up!!
Constructive criticism should always be encouraged.
@Collins, Amen to that, jor!is working for ighalo @man u.. cos of personal love to man u
What more can I say. I’m utterly dumbfounded. Mr rohr has just fallen in love with the eagles and it’s understandable bcs he can’t work so hard all these years to refurbish the eagles to what they are today and then agonizingly watch another idiot come and reap what he didn’t sow. As a white man,hes looking at the future and not what is obtainable at the present. He has futuristic plans not minding how long it takes for them to materialize. This is one of the reasons why white people are successful in science, technology and other areas which of course includes football. They aren’t myopic bcs of temporary selfish gains but are always long sighted, seeing into the future . Bet me, his market value after the world cup shall increase and the nff would be the ones on their sorry knees begging him to sign a new contract, mark my words. Keshi did it to them after the 2013 afcon triumph and it shall happen again. The man believes in himself and knows what he’s doing, he’s not a fool. Wish u all the best, Mr Rohr. You are a good man.
“Their midfield need to be more aggressive, study every player before inviting them cos every one need opportunity to express themselve” bla bla! Don’t know how a novice will think he knows more than an expertrate? Coaching is not even your business how you come up with all these amaze me Shey just to know u sha say something? It is well.
Rhor we trust in you I just have some demands to make and my demands are as follows
1)please find all ways to bring in bukayo saka to our left back position, with his deliveries victor osimhen will be unstoppable.
2)Be more attacking be ruthless because the best form of defence is attack,I really like the way you invited Kingsley ehizibue to SE because he is fastest player in the Bundisliga and we have 70% pacy players now in the team so why defending?
3)Bring in flair into our midfield, we need ball holding midfielders, players that can dribble and create chances for the very pacy attack we have now
4)please don’t invite any player above 25years and not playing in the top 8 leagues(england,Germany,Spain,Italy,France,Portugal,Belgium,Holland)in Europe again to SE,tell shehu abdulahi to move to a prestigious league because he can’t be a regular in SE and be playing in Turkish division 2,same also goes for musa because we need to raise the standard of the team in order to even dream of getting to the Q-finals of the world cup.
5)please play all the players you invite for friendly matches let them show what they can do.Oga its just a friendly match and NFF spend a lot of money bringing this players down from Europe.
6)extend your dragnet in your search for goal keepers,as our number one is currently injured, search Europe and give more goal keepers the chance to show what they can do,keepers like Arthur okonkwo,Sebastian osigwe, dele alampasu, maduka okoye, and that young goalkeeper in Croatia… We have seen enough of ezenwa and the south African base goalkeeper I forgot his name.
7)abeg make una add una demand o…no be only NFF sabi make demand o
@AKP I love your item 4) am tired of seeing player from low rank an average league in the super eagles, rohr pls heel to AKP request. Where is my friend @Glory he was say something about your item 4). Glory am missing you oo
AKP, nice comment.
BTW, your name is half of our SA based goalie’s name – AKP vs AKPEYI, hehehehe!
Is AKP short for AKPEYI? Abi una be kinsmen? Although come to think of it, AKP might be short for AKPAN, AKPOR or AKPABIO.
I am in agreement with all your demands. I have one demand to add:
Since they want him to pay taxes, the NFF should ensure that his after-tax pay in dollars should at least equal his prior contract pay in dollars. Also, that pay should be adjusted monthly, to ensure that exchange rate fluctations do not negatively impact Rohr’s take home pay. There should be a base exchange rate agreed upon, say $1 to N360. If the the naira rises in value, adjust his pay downwards with the difference. If the naira falls, adjust his pay upwards.
It would be unjust to effectively reduce the pay of a worker who has met every target that was set for him, and even exceeded expectations.
@pompeo its Akpewe and am happy we still have fans on the same page with me….everything happening now will really have a positive result on out football….lastly I think Rhor should also go closer to the age grade teams and share one or two things with them because am seeing some unusual things happening there based on the last u17 and u20 teams we presented.Yes he should show interest there because this teams in the past have produced many of our SE players he is using now so its his concern too for future talent discovery.
Rohr obviously loves his work product – the current Super Eagles team. But love alone is not the only factor. Rohr is first and foremost, a business person. He is also in this for the money. The thing is Rohr realizes that if he qualifies us for the next Afcon and world cup, and does very well in both, that will open huge doors for him elsewhere when it is time to go. After investing so much time and money on this team, why should he allow someone else to come and reap where they didn’t sow?
By signing this contract, Rohr is setting the stage for positive outcomes in his career. Unlike some who are penny wise and pounds foolish, who are ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater, Rohr has his head in the game. He knows what he wants, and he is going for it.
There is nothing wrong in this if Oga Rohr decides to continue his work but it’s going to be like president Buhari issue.
Mr. Buhari have failed Nigerians that is why the country is struggling to cope with the COVID-19 challenges. We don’t plan ahead and we don’t have the plan in place.
Nigeria government is using the term, “stay home” without having a plan. They are copying Oyinbo lifestyle while they don’t have their plans. Kai, Akoba gafara lolz.
However, coach Rohr knew that other African countries has no players like Nigeria and if he decides to leave, he’s going to fail as usual but he has no choice rather than accepting the offer.
Do we think that NFF we have good relationship with the gaffer like they used to? Because it is very clear now that they don’t have anything to do with coach Rohr and the coach is forcing himself on NFF.
In this case, Oga Rohr need to respect himself. If you don’t respect yourself, nobody else will.
More so, not that only Mr. Rohr have failed, also, NFF have failed too because they couldn’t do their job and they have failed Nigerians too. More of Mr. Dare, the sport minister are needed.
The current NFF under Mr. Amaju have failed and I am not expecting much from them.
Coach Rohr should stay if NFF are ready to ask another ex players to the cabinet. Otherwise, they should think twice before signing his new contract.
Within the 3 years of his tenure, he failed to provide a world class goalies, a full left back and he is a ready made coach and he is not better than our ex players and Oyinbo have brainwashed Africans and he is earning more than our own local coaches that even achieved more than the German man. Hmmm, isn’t interesting?
Imagine having Akpayi as Nigerian no1 goalkeeper tells a lot about the gentleman.
Only in Nigeria this happened. Scolari, the former coach of Brazilian team came out to apologize to the Brazilians that he had failed and he wished to put an end to his contract because he has failed.
Like our government like their employees lol. They don’t know shame at all lolz. This is why their are celebrating Average results.
We should look at the former South Africa coach, he also stepped down because he couldn’t go beyond his power and they sacked him jęję.
How about Renard? The former Zambian coach?
Now you all understand that Oga Rohr is an average coach that has nothing to add to the team rather than cycling players.
Other countries are moving forward while Nigeria is in the analog era. Chai, we have gold at home but we don’t value the gold we have, we are still going outside to beg for the Bronze medals. Who does that? Only in Nigeria.
Like they were chanting Sai baba sai Buhari name and now Nigerians are complaining.
I hope in the end, Nigerians will not keep complaining if baba Rohr couldn’t live up to their expectations. These Nigerians am talking about are those that hiding behind their excuses.
Funny enough, excuses will start coming in now like neverbefore. Ah, Nigerians, we don’t like to hear the truth.
Oga Rohr that failed to go beyond the ground stage in Russia and also went to Afcon in Egypt to settled for Bronze medals, now he has more experience than never before to take the Super Eagles team to another world cup and Afcon ba? Chai, chai, nawaoooo.
Why are we deceiving ourselves in this country like this? Instead of waisting another four years for nothing, why can’t the NFF use this opportunity to call on Amunike, Yobo and co and a new set of goalkeeper trainers to start working together before another world cup and Afcon so that we can have a complete team and a team to reply on when it’s matter most?
Is that not a good idea rather than waisting another good four years for nothing?
Oh well, black people, we need to think o. Hmm, ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
I’m sorry for my typing errors. I hope CSN will get us edit botton one day. It is very sad that our leaders are not helping the situation at all. They are more concerned about their pockets rather than the citizens.
I will advise Mr. Amaju and co to change the name “NFF” back to NFA.
During the time of NFA, Lagos was the home of the Super Eagles and we enjoyed watching good football then than this time around.
There’s no passions in our sports anymore.
It is well. God bless Nigeria!!!
Utter rubbish….. I just wish I could dislike 100 times…… Csn pls help us with a button that can help us dislike senseless posts like this more than 100 times.
Baba chameleon ni bobo yi sha
@Omo9ja , OMG , you just made my night going through your contribution, I was forced to dig into the profile of the man Rohr before his engagement in annoyance to many of our people unfortunate submissions in the forum before you came up with your sensible and brilliant analysis; I had thought Nigeria is a coursed country and Sh…….. as President Trump derided Africans, but yours contribution gave me hope. My major constraints is time constraints to waste my precious time arguing with those who are suffering from African mentality and inferiority complex , some lazy youths as rightly labeled by PMB because they can buy 100 Naira data would be insulting their fellow Nigerians , to such extent some whose uncultured habit is in the DNA of their region would called an achiever and a legend Big Sege odegbami gutter name just because of a failure coach like Rohr who if any one knows about football, would know ,those that employed him should all be cooling their feet in the EFCC nets. Rohr was merely using African countries as experimental training while he deceitfully called himself “ Technical adviser “ all the African countries he has coached since February 2010 could not wait for his contract to expire before asking him to go , it was only Nigeria that he was able to fooled successfully by getting contract extension.
My dearest brother, comparing Amunike, Siasia, Keshi etc to Rohr , is an insult, that was why, on Yobo appointment, he never bother to call Rohr because with exposure of Yobo working under world class coach in Europe ,knows Rohr is a clown who claimed to be technical adviser, his highest position with the pedigree of Nigeria in world football would have been 2nd assistant coach working under Amunike, Siasia, late Keshi ( if he were to be alive ) with salary that shouldn’t be higher than $10k but being paid $50k above his rating is a big scam ( never owed one day , unlike our local coaches) , there is more to the current posture of NFF, the new clause are just diversionary to escape being probe by the current sports minister, otherwise would any insane organization have signed a contract where his employee would be living in his home country ( even it can never be done in this C-19) or employing a failed coach in his last 3 coaching roles in Africa , Rohr salary is definitely been shared 50/50 , otherwise how would it be difficult to pay lesser money regularly to a coach Keshi that did not only qualified for World Cup and Afcon but won gold -Cup only to be frustrated with backlog of unpaid salary but you recommended training for a foreigner at tax payers expenses for a failed coach that his best was 3rd place ( where he had brought forward his failure mentality from his previous country he has coached.
Bellow is the reason NFF should be put in EFCC net before Rohr is rightly shown the exit door to continue his training experiment with another African country if any because no any sensible FA would employ him in Europe, even in his home country Germany:
When NFF was looking for best coach for Super eagles at the expense of Amunike Siasia and Keshi etc who they mischievously frustrated with backlog of unpaid salary even after wining Afcon Cup :
1. Gabon 2010-12 (8 win, 5Draw,6Loos ) rating :42% ( didn’t renew his contract as he didn’t improve them )
2. Niger 2012-2014(3Win,7Draw,13Loss) ratings:13%
3. Burkinafaso 2015-2015(3Win,3Draw,5Loos) ratings : 27%
Above were the shameful score cards of Rohr before employing him with a salary $50k that has never been given to any local coaches dead or alive not even Keshi that won Afcon cup . Now tell me , that a coach that was booted out after his contract with embarrassing score cards as low as 13% & 27% in his last 2 jobs !!! What a scam by the wise men in NFF that employed him !!! Would anyone tell Rohr that failed embarrassing woefully that was booted out in his last 3 jobs lowly to Nigeria is the one taken home $50k per month excluding bonuses ? If it were to be a sane Football federation, they would have told oga Rohr ( with this your previous report sheet , you can never be a successful football coach , please go and learn another business)
Can we now see reason , NFF quickly extend his contract and quickly planned to send him on training on Nigeria expenses but for the coming in of sensible new sports minister and why they signed contract that will make him working from his home in Germany? If Nigeria did not kill Corruption , Corruption will kill Nigeria.
We have many talents all over the world , Rohr has not discovered nor brought up a single good player only relying on ready made.
Except he is ready to accept to work under our local coaches with $8k he should be shown exit DOOR , it is insult to ask Yobo and Amunike to work under him ..,. Oga Rohr is scam , it is a trade mark of Germany in Nigeria, that is how Lufthansa City & Tech nearly killed Arik Air Ltd ( where they were secretly sending their engineering trainees for training in Arik Air maintenance and would be billing Arik Air heavily as Certified engineer , we warned Arik Air Chairman but did not listen until the damaged had been done , the Man looses his company while Lufthansa engineering was booted out , but the damage had be done.
Same scenario is happening, Rohr should have been the one paying NFF for learning in Nigeria under our coaches, but it was scam that Rohr with scores card of 13% was higher as “Technical Adviser “ instead of trainee or assistant coach , when a student score 50% the student is an average but when he scored 13% and 27% such student would be recommended for demotion to next class you don’t give him higher responsibility in a higher class , oga Rohr ought to have been demoted as assistant coach and not Technical Adviser with a high football nation like Nigeria, we would even be laughing stock with Bukinafaso and Niger Gabon that a failed less than average coach that his best was 3rd place match was what a big country like Nigeria is celebrating as if he has taken Eagles to the final of World Cup .
Rohr should not only be sacked but his contract as signed with NFF should be probed
It is clear you don’t even know much about Rhor OK let me enlightened you abit
1)Rhor played for Bayern Munich and Bordeaux in his playing days and he was a very good defender.
2)He has worked extensively in the German football developmental system in the past and worked under many great German coaches.
3)He coached Bordeaux for some seasons and he took them to the Europa league final before losing out narrowly.. Till today he is a legend in Bordeaux
4)He has coached many African nations even though those teams are not as talented as Nigeria but he still made impact.
Comparing him to siasia is an insult because of all Nigerian coaches its only oliseh that has coached a team in Europe and it was division 2 team in Netherlands.
Hehehe….book of lamentations. Lairs on the prowl…! LMAO
You’ve been rabble rousing lies all over the place but I chose to ignore you…but let me put it to you that Rohr started on the same $30k Keshi was earning, $5k above the $25k both Siasia and Oliseh were paid as SE coaches….it was his hardwork and delivering on set targets that earned him an improved pay (which is normal everywhere in the world) and even the deaf and dumb has heard of the many fights Rohr has had with NFF over unpaid salaries running to 4-5 months sometimes….so I don’t understand what better conditions of service you have been ranting about for almost a week now…LMAO
You forgot to give us your Amuneke’s statistics as Tanzania’s coach that should warrant us handing over our national team to him…..or your Siasia that couldn’t qualify for ordinary AFCON at two attempts.
If you like try all you can to rubbish GR, but you can never rubbish the great work he has done. You can never take it away from him as a former Bayern and Bordeaux legend, a former head of the technical department of the German FA, a former UEFA Cup silver and Swiss cup winning coach and one who took lowly rated Gabon to their best ever AFCON placing till date. Even the best coaches in the world get sacked, and even the best of the best national team coaches of only average 60-65% win ratio. With Nigeria Rohr’s is already averaging 58% win ratio (or there about)….and that’s all that matters to us at the moment. Even Keshi was sacked by both Mali and Togo before using Nigeria to “boost his CV” according to your likes…lolz. So if you like tell us Rohr didn’t pass mathematics in High school, it is your headache….LMAO, tell us fake stories about how dangote killed innoson or how Airbus killed Coca-Cola…that’s your cup of coffee.
Just as @ Gideon asked, if all was well when we had local coaches, why did we return to going for a foreign coach. Rohr is only doing well because we have talented players, why did your local coaches too not do well when they had talented players…? Why did they drag us from the top 20 in 2010 to 70th in the world by 2016..? Why didn’t they qualify us for 3 out of 4 AFCONs even with all the more talented and experienced players they had at their disposal.
Nigerians don’t care about race or nationality anymore when it comes to who coaches their SE, they care about who will give them results. Unfortunately for you, we’ve got one who is doing so already without even breaking a sweat. All the targets his employers gave him he has met with flying colours. Even the NFF know they have no reason to sack him outrightly, that’s why they are just trying to frustrate him…but the old man is proving to be wiser than them….so back off!
My only problem with Dr Drey is the fact that he only highlight the positive side of Oga Rohr instead of balancing the equation(that’s mentioning the areas that needs to be fixed, instead of seeing those doing so as enemies, as if he’s more Nigerian than others).
As long as you continue with this attitude, I have no option than seeing you as Genort Rohr’s media officer (enemies of progress)
The Eagles much make progress!
I will be in my crib watching.
*** The Eagles must make progress!
Hehehehe….pls remain in that crib and forever hold your peace. All you’ve ever done here is to tell us fat lies, so your keeping shut will be a plus for the platform. LMAO
@drey,
Bro stop wasting your precious time replying some of these guys…they know the truth they only wants to make the forum lively…
People can define truth the way they want it, but truth remains truth and I will continue on that part.
Whoever think I’m telling a fat lie can bring it on, I’m waiting.
Destar only come here to lie and type utter rubbish. One can deduce that he knows absolutely nothing about football. He thinks we are stuck on like him and his other miserable morons. Wether they like it or not both him and his other miserable morons will remain miserable till at least after the 2022 world cup. LMAO!!
You’ve been telling fat lies here without end and I’ve equally been sharing links and facts to dispel your lies without end.
So what’s there to bring on….? Lolz
Sharing links? You have no evidence to prove your point.
The votes from many commenters here prove it.
Ich habe nicht genug Zeit für dich!
“…The votes from many commenters here prove it…”
Hahahaha….ah man! Ah man! Ah man!
Is this your level of reasoning…?? LMAO. So something becomes true simply by some few likes and not because it’s and established and publicly documented fact…??? LMAO.
Anyways…I have no point to prove to you. Even those who hate me far more than you on this forum know my assertions are always verifiable.
Even you have once requested for a link from me before to verify one of you big lies…LMAO
I have absolutely nothing to prove to you….not to someone whose reasoning is that likes are a confirmation or verification of an assertion. Lolz
And come to think of if, if it were to be by likes on this forum, then I would be one of the richest members of the forum by now. You can go back and check every CSN news piece that attracts comments and see for yourself. Some things are as open for all to see as the sky. Lolz
I have a question to ask:
Pls, can someone tell me the reason we went for a foreign coach at the first place?
Because Our local coaches can not be trusted and they are so prone to collecting bribe(EGUNJE)
I have started suspecting those enemies of progress that are looking for the downfall of Mr. Rohr and Super eagles of Nigeria as terrorist. Nigerians are not enemies of progress. Only the enemy of super eagles will say he or she has not seen the effort of Mr. Rohr in the super eagles. When our indigenous coaches handled this team everyone address this team as super chickens because of the heart attack they gave good super eagles fans. But God gave us Mr. Rohr who was able to pick this team from nowhere to somewhere. Everyone now plus the terrorists are able speak about super eagles now because of the hard work of Mr. Rohr. This is a coach that hate bribe. His team selection is the best ever. Please Nff should stop forcing this coach to resign. Mr. Rohr deserve a new contract. Let no man put asunder.
truth has no other names. Absolutely correct

Even if Rohr came into the Super Eagles job a loser, he has done well enough to prove he is a success. In football, you are as good as your last game. With this notion,Rohr is doing a great job and deserve much respect and support.
It can only get better.
@Hush much respect browse,God bless you… for the second set as rightly pointed out they can’t be helped…meritocracy should be their watchword…you’ve said it all…
Some even go as far as accusing others of forcing their opinions on them, whereas they are ghetto ones guilty of that.

“All I can say is that I am always in Nigeria, most of my time. It’s been three years since I’ve been in Nigeria.”
“I spend time in Nigeria but, all my players are in Europe and it is only one (Ikechukwu Ezenwa) that’s in Nigeria. I hear lots of things about it on social media, TV, and newspapers, about what has been said. But I cannot comment on it. I have to see my players in their clubs and meet their coaches, watch their matches and communicate with them.
I love the above statements from our coach.. Very committed with plan to achieve.
I believe he will put someone to dust, just like ighalo did to much people
@Goal that is Dr drey for you, he allways prove that he is more nigerian he has succided in decieving some of us in this forum the likes of tayo. Cuteprince. Gedeon. Glory. Oakfield. as for me i will continue to say the truth. Gr is not the type of coach we want he is not even an avrage coach he is below average. We lost to argentina and algeria because we dont have a coach. enrout to the w/cup he lost to england. Serbia. Czech.lost crotia and argentina. he went to 2018 w/cup with three injured players onazi. Joel. Ighalo. he did same thing in afcon kalu. Ezenwa. Balogun. Were all injured a good coach will never go to a tournament with injured players. Even the team selection to the afcon was bad six wingers. 4 mildfielders. It is not possible for any team to win afcon with only 4 mildfielders that was why we strugle win ordinary burundi. gunea. and lost to ordinary madagascar and algeria. Nff go for a world class coach GR is a joke.
We have all spoken well because everybidy is entitled to his opinion both the nff and we the fans, but my humble contribution is nff should please avoid sentiments and face facts, let them not be a spoil sport for nigrrians whose only hope of joy is when our super eagles are winning matches without the usual hypertensive permutations, selfishness is an african pandemic,i respect pinick and his contributions so far but let avoid joining the evil forces that can not see anything good in others otherwise is name will be dragged to the mud Rorh have obviously done well and doesn’t deserve all this uneccessary distractions, for crying out loud this man loves nigeria his archievements with the super eagles is enough to get job somewhere lets be honest “offer him new lenghty contract now orherwise we will regret failing to do so”Rhor is now familiar with our terrain and even know most of our players than we do and he even command their respect.just tell me a nigerian coach that will be able to convince dutch players to committ to nigeria so easily without going almost down on jis kneels
The NFF (and fans) should give this man one more chance. Give him all the support he needs then wait and see the outcome of the next World cup.
I still have my reservations about some aspects of his leadership, however he seems to be genuinely in love with our dear SE. And, most importantly, he must have grown in his leadership and coaching abilities (no one is perfect) after so many years working with this team.
If he is as passionate as this about the SE, we would be foolish to let him go without being sure of a better replacement.
Eh Bomboy. Did you just type this? Thank God you’re not like those stuck on whose hatred and sentiments have beclouded their reasoning.
@Goal that is Dr drey for you. he has succeded in decieving some members of this forum the likes of cuteprince. Oakfied. Tayo. Gedion. Glory. They cant stop us from saying the truth. Gr is a failure he is not the type of coach we want. he is not even an average coach he is below average.
Hehehehehe….I’ve succeeded in decieving people with facts and figures….??? LMAO. I challenge you to shame me by providing evidence that I have lied.
Your own truths never seem to have any facts or figures to back them up….facts don’t lie….put facts and figures on the table and the world will know if truly u have said the truth or just being a pathetic lair.
Lairs of the same feathers flock together. Lolz
Leave our below average coach for us. We like him like that. At least we are not getting beaten by Sudan or Congo anymore, not struggling to play draws with Swaziland or Kenya. Tell your above average coaches to go and get jobs elsewhere if they are so outstanding. LMAO
Don’t mind him bro @Stan.
I will always continue to disprove his uncompleted love for Eagles ( genuine Super Eagles supporters like us do give constructive criticism when due but fake ones are known for their hypocrisy/praise singing as always)
They can’t stop us bro, we are a moving train (progressive minds).
Hehehehe….it’s impossible to disprove facts and figures with lies.
The whole of this forum knows who the real lairs are….people who will say things you can’t find anywhere else in the internet or say things and when you go online to find out what you’ll find will be the complete opposite, like saying Senegal dominated Brazil yet all the available match highlights on YouTube and all the match stats online showing Brazil filtering away goal scoring opportunity after opportunity while Senegal struggle to even create clear cut chances….LMAO.
Some people’s lies can make the devil jealous….LMAO
Olodo @stan
we will not getting beating by sudan and kenya any more . Losing to madagascar by two goal to nil was a big shame to nigeria footbal. You decieve people with fact. @Drey stop decieving your followers. Gr rohr is not better than any of this coaches onigbinde. Keshi. Westerhof. Bonfre. Chukwu. Eguavon. Amoudu.
“Your own truths never seem to have any facts or figures to back them up….facts don’t lie….put facts and figures on the table and the world will know if truly u have said the truth or just being a pathetic lair”.

I love the second paragraph line Bro. …enough said
Stan, staphiloccocus or whatever your name is let today be the last time you call me out for your attacks else imma make your life a living hell on this forum. The fact that I don’t wanna feud with anyone on here doesn’t mean I’m afraid.

I’VE BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT THE FACTS AND FIGURES PRESENTED BY DR.DREY ARE CORRECTS….
As at the time I started buying and reading Sporting Champion, Complete sports,Sports Souvenir and complete football you were still learning A.B.Cs and when I started having uninterrupted access to their online outlets abroad, there was still no cyber cafe in your local government…so Stan di Staphiloccocus respect yourself
Retrogressive minds that’s what you’re meant to say. SuperEagles are already progressing under Rohr. Miserable minds like you and Stan are the ones trying to drag us backward. We the real fans refuse to let that happen.

I can see that Dr Drey have acquired many disciples here, many are just follow follow without having their own minds, that’s why I will continue to respect people like mr Hush, Mr Stan,@deo (man without enemy just like water)
This reputable men can read, understand and pick out valuable point from ones message, the rest (I mean Drey’s disciples) will tag you an enemy, if you asked them what did I say that is wrong they don’t know.
I just hope that some of them will repent after reading this pieces.
Let me not forget to mention omo9ja (who still remains indefatigable to his opinion, even though I didn’t agree fully to it), Mr Collins id and others who I can’t remember now.
I respect you guys from the bottom of my heart.
@goal. You should’ve mentioned my name directly na? Instead of standing on the fence. Go and check all my comments on CSN since inception. I’ve always advocated for a foreign coach even since the days of Keshi. I’ve never liked the idea of local coaches handling the SuperEagles because I know they will never select players on form and merit. I know they’re always prone to receiving bribes and chosing players based on paddy paddy.
Infact even Dr. Drey will tell you that I’m the one who started this forum back in 2016 when CSN began the have your say portal. Everyone on this forum will tell you that.
At a time when it was only me and two other guys usually come here to comment especially on Mumini Alao’s articles. Go and check the archives yourself Mr miserable moron.
Mr miserable moron You wey be jolly just come that doesn’t know Jack about football only come here to lie, bereft of ideas other than been sentimental and stuck on stupid with your reasonings of stone age. We didn’t see you here when SuperEagles failed to qualify for 3 out of 4 AFCONS. We didn’t see you and the rest of your miserable morons here when SuperEagles were ranked 70th in the world. It was after we started qualifying for tournaments with matches to spare that miserable morons like you began to see that the team needs this and that.
You’re talking about having a mind of yourself when you are the chronic Mr follow follow. LMAO!! Is it not when Stan and other miserable morons make a fool of themselves that you always come out to comment?? Who between me and you doesn’t have a mind of themself? If you like jump inside lagoon or hug a wet electric pole Rohr will continue to lead this young and exciting SuperEagles we have been waiting for in decades. Infact this the most exciting SuperEagles since 94 take it or hug a wet transformer.
ONIGBINDE took nigeria to 1984 afcon and won silver. W/cup 2002 he lost two matches and drew one enrout to the w/cup nigeria played 1-1 draw with paraguay and deafeated ireland and scotland in uk. SHAIBU AMOUDU. qualied nigeria to afcon in 2002 and won bronz. qaulified to 2002 and 2010 w/cup. qaulified to 2010 afcon and won bronz. CHUKWU 2004 afcon and won bronz. EGUAVON 2006 afcon bronz. SIASIA Under 20 w/cup 2005 silver. 2008 olympic in beljin silver. STEPHEN KESHI ( BABA AGBALAGBA. THE BIG BOSS.) qaulified nigeria to 2013 afcon and won gold. Qaulied nigeria to w/cup 2014 and get to the second round. Dr drey tell me what your father has done better than our local coches. Is it because he drew with ukarine and brazil. Shaibu amoudu deafeated france in their back yard. Siasia won silver and bronz in olympic which is biger than afcon bronz. Stop celerating failure @dr drey.
“…Siasia won Olympics silver and bronze which is bigger than AFCON….” LMAO. Another fat lie.
So why didn’t the Olympic bronze we won in 2016 improve our FIFA rankings back then…LMAO where were we still firmly rooted to 70th position in the world. Why didn’t they use that to seed us for 2018 WCQ….???? LMAO
You think CAF and FIFA cares about the 1000 U17, U20 and U23 trophies you’ve won but still struggling to qualify for AFCON or WC @ senior level…?
Your tin-god Siasia is only good at winning at underaged tournaments where he can use old men in their mid to late 30s masquerading as young boys….otherwise why has almost everyone of our Beijing team retired from football (some since 5years ago) while Argentina’s team, from Romero, Gago, Fazio, Zabaleta, Mascherano, Aguero, Messi, Di Maria etc are still playing at the top level for the best clubs in the world and don’t look like retiring from football in another 5 years. When he gets to senior football where everyone is mate he flops – relegated both Bayelsa utd and JUTH in the NPL, The same Heartland team that got to CAFCL final the previous season, he took over the team at the group stage and yet and finished bottom of the group. Was given SE where everyone is mate, we counldnt qualify for afcon twice when all we needed on both occasions was a good win in our last home games.
All the coaches you mentioned didn’t take over a SE team ranked 70th in the world, none of them took over a SE eagles that was ranked all-time low of 16th in Africa (even as at independence, we couldn’t have been 16th in Africa). None of them took over a SE that hadn’t qualified for 3 out of 4 AFCONs, None of them took over the weakest SE of all time. None of them ever qualified for tournaments with matches to spare, none of them even played 24 team AFCON (otherwise all those semifinal loses of the likes of chukwu, Amodu etc than won bronze would have been a qfinal crash out LMAO), The semifinal match we lost to Algeria would have been the final match in a 16team AFCON (and there would have been absolutely no shame in loosing the final to a more experienced and star-studded Algeria with the last kick of the game in the 94th minute), None of them can boast of winning 5 matches at one AFCON, none of them can boast of 15points in one AFCON (Onigbinde – 6pts, Amodu (2002) – 13pts, Chukwu – 13pts, Eguavoen – 13pts, Amodu (2010) – 8pts, Keshi -12pts)
None of your local coaches currently are even at the level of Christian Chuwku (No disrespect) not to talk of even late Amodu and Keshi talk more of being on the same level with Rohr…. People who cannot get jobs elsewhere apart from when NFF pities them. If there were any local coach that was good enough,Pinnick wouldn’t have been running helther skelter in 2016 looking for coaches to bring us out of 70th position in the world.
Rohr has brought order to the SE, he has brought youth, he has brought stability, invites players on merit, he has shown faith in youngsters, we don’t struggle to win matches anymore, players don’t quarrel with themselves their coaches or NFF unlike before, we don’t hear that dis or dat person has been banned from the SE, we don’t take BP pills after SE’s matches anymore, we are now more interested in SE now more than before, go and check CSN forum before 2016 as evidence, there was hardly traffic here, people weren’t interested in the SE. Just few of us used to pop in once a while because the SE was an eyesore. Today many of you cannot let a day pass without stopping by as CSN street…LMAO. People now want to see this our SE team that looks more like an U23 national team but is even holding the best senior national teams in the world by the jugular.
Tell your local coaches to go and get jobs elsewhere and let Pinnick’s phones rest. It’s unprofessional to backbite and go begging for a job position someone else is still occupying. The SE is not a ground for experiments anymore.
@cuteprince what have i done wrong? We are se fans we only do this for the progress of our darling super eagles. Am not your enemy delete my name in your black diary.
Its important to look at where the journey began. Where the starting point was. What our level was when he started. When he took over, we had not been able to qualify for AFCON even, missing out on two consecutive competitions 2015 as well as 2017. The Super Eagles were at rock bottom. Keshi had run his course and dropped the Super Eagles like a hot potato. So did Oliseh. Nigeria was ranked 14th in Africa and something like 60 something or 70 something in the world. Nigeria needed someone to start from scratch. Build from the bottom, improve every department. Has the coach moved the Super Eagles forward in the 3 or 4 years he has been in charge? Of course.
Today we are ranked 3rd in Africa, came third in AFCON despite not being able to qualify in two attempts previously. Nigeria has regained the fear factor that it once had. No team in Africa wants to face us. The likes of South Africa, Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia pray that they do not get to meet us
We only have mutual respect for Algeria (the most in form side in Africa) and Senegal the number one side in Africa.
However, having said that, no team is unbeatable. Not Nigeria, not Ivory Coast, not Guinea and not Egypt. We have moved seamlessly to replace ageing players and have not missed Mikel, Victor Moses or Ighalo. All players that are feared and respected across not only Africa but across the world. Only not at home.
Players are tested, they are given a chance and they either sink or swim. No time to bed in. We have plenty of options up front, we have options coming in at midfield, we have a core of defenders, the full backs being upgraded. All players coming in are quality, quality that we can see. Very clear. The only department that still needs a serious look at is the Goalkeeping position. However, the Super Eagles coach is not a manufacturer of players, all he can do is scout and select, give direction and prepare for matches ahead of him.
The building process is continuous and ongoing, however, it would be a shame not to let him finish the job and take us to the world cup 2022 which is only two years away and then we can decide who to take the reigns and see whether they can take us higher
@Goal and @ Stan , @Omo9ja ; I am strongly with you, please don’t loose focus and continue to give them intellectual analysis devoid of derogatory and insult on your fellow Nigerians because of a 3rd rated coach whose his best achievement till date was 3rd place match ( not in World Cup nor Olympic but in Afcon where our local coaches would be ashamed to be counted as achievement, hence when we mentioned names of achiver among our local coaches , no one has ever counted a shameful Bronze Afcon bronze medalist coach ) , that is why till date we only remembe the likes of Keshi , Onigbinde, Siasia-Olympic sliver medalist etc . I can’t seriously remember when last we competed for such price in Afcon except when SE did not qualify for the tournament .
@ Ayphillydegreat , as usual, due to my policy , my upbringing and level , I would not respond to your uncultured derogatory gutter language until you learn how to be civil, otherwise, I would have been qualified myself as a moron as in your statement, therefore, the best answer for a fool for now is silent .
@Mr Hush, I choose to reply to you because in your analysis, you put your thoughts with sincerity which was also devoid of unpleasant dirty languages being used by some lazy youths in this platform as rightly declared by PMB ( even in the western world, where their supposed best achiever coach oga Rohr comes from , when you use such language, they regard you, nothing but animal, that is why education , upbringing and exposure really matter in ones live ). I quite appreciate you for your sincerity that , technical ability of oga Rohr is suspect with an agreed flaws , but you believe, there is more room for him to learn ( that I agree with you, NFF also shared your thought on that , hence the initial proposed to send him on further training after his failure in Afcon, having seen his deficiencies in both tournaments he went for , I agreed with that too but I did not agreed that, the training expenses should be paid by NFF because we did not engage a coach but a supposed “Technical adviser “ who as an expert , ought to have equipped himself with the required skills and experience that would made him to qualify for such title in the foreign country of ours for that matter and if found wanting, I am of the opinion that, he ought to have used part of his personal money to get himself trained ; in the world recognized standard practice ,when a Coach failed, he is not sent on training at the expense of his employer rather , he is sacked , moreover such privileged has never been given to our local coaches in the pas, why such preferential treatment in our country. Thank God , NFF never did because of the new Sports minister and 2 bad oga Rohr had thought it was business as usual and never used his money to help himself till date ).
On our area of differences, I am of the opinion that, it is due to the perspectives at which we are both looking at the subject matter . My submission is born out of patriotism , experience and exposure ( as in our people’s parlance , experience is the best teacher ) . With my professional working exposure in the aviation industry as aircraft quality assurance & safety engineer where I have worked with many nationals of different countries within and outside Nigeria, I am not only privileged to know many antics of how they fooled Africans, Nigerian in particular, but also know that, there is nothing special with white men and given the same level opportunity, we do excel than them , in honesty they respect us for that but unfortunately, we don’t believe in ourselves, that is african mentality and inferiority complex. I therefore, see no sensible reason I can not bring my working experience on the matter that affect our social and economic lives because, it is tax payers money that are used to pay for oga Rohr , in view of our scarce resources in our country where many youths are jobless and being tagged as lazy youths (because when one is jobless, there is no way it will not affect ones reasoning ability, Arik Air Chairman who lost his business empire and the army of Arik staff that are happy for only keeping their jobs without salary increment and without opportunity of given employment opportunity to our youths whose only serious engagement are in the social media due to no faults of theirs but our sets of unfortunate leaders ). As a matter of fact I like the analogy of the person that likned Contract renewal of oga Rohr to that of re-election of PMB.
You claimed , coach should only be judged by his last 3 performances you are very right ) , by your declaration oga Rohr prior to his employment by NFF when they were looking for a competent coach with an achievement in african and world tournaments, ( based on coach of country and not club) what are the criteria used in arriving at the choice of Rohr base on his last 3 assignments? One , in the World Cup , oga Rohr never had any record of ever taken any country to an Olympic Games let alone World Cup , hence , it was not surprised that he crashed out with dismal performance in the first round of W/C with solitary win of Ahmed Musa ( on Afcon , his highest achievement is quarter finals qualification, therefore, when he crashed out in the semifinals of Afcon , he could rightly counted it as a great achievement by his own past record and not Super eagles records , his employer NFF also aware of his limited competence was happy for his new achievement , hence the choice of giving him such target as they know his greatest past ability was quarter finals, therefore, oga Rohr would have surprised his employer NFF if he were to go beyond semifinal ) . Would you not agree with me that in the first instance , employment of oga Rohr then was suspect based on his 3 previous assignments before being engaged ? Quarter final in Gabon with advantage of being host country and a country that has achieved that in the past without being a host country , with last two assignments were not only shameful but very embarrassing (13%&27%) when such coach is rightly sacked , with such shameful score cards /rating , should we rewarded such F9 scored card rated coach with higher responsibility as Technical adviser, instead of demoting him as 2nd assistant coach ? For a patriotic Nigerian you are, if a student scores F9 would such student not be demoted rather than given promotion in a higher school? kindly tell me the reason our NFF employed such F9 rated coach on his last 2 previous assignments and why NFF did not deem fit to use tax payers money to send our previous coach on training to be paid for after the so called under achievement? 3rd , why would NFF extend a coach contract that can only win ordinary bronze with 40% increment ($30-50k)in salary for a coach that they agreed needed to be trained based on his performance , whereas , our local Keshi who surpassed target by wining Afcon and qualified for World Cup was not given $1 increment , rather he was frustrated with backlog of unpaid salary and sabotage and then sack ?please be sincere, if Super Eagles were your private business, would you be proud of these set of past and present NFF?
@ Dr Drey , kindly refer to the above response for @ Mr Hush in order to safe time . However , I will correct your wrong information in your submission and also give short answer to your questions:
1. Oga Rohr was never owed salary for 1 day let alone 5 months ( the money he is owed was match bonuses , which NFF was not all that keen in paying due to his not impressive achievement in Afcon). So when you talk of many months unpaid salary , it is only applicable to our local coaches Keshis, Amodu , Siasia etc not oga Rohr , who even had all he wanted including contract of living in his country, the only privileged, not given then was moving S/E home matches to his home country in Germany , so that he would be safe from living his wife and family suffering in 6 hours flying to & fro each time S/E have matches since all his players are playing in Germany ( I presumed).
2. On Amunike achievement, condition of services, remuneration to our local coaches Siasia, Keshi , vis-a-vis Rohr : Achievement wise , It will be an insult comparing them , Rohr as Techincal adviser (expert) has never done what has never been achieved in any of the countries he ever coached , in Gabon where he got the greatest achievement of his country coaching career , he crashed out in the quarter final with host country advantage , Gabon had achieved this even without being a host nation and had qualified for Afcon 7 times , whereas , Amunike did what has never been achieved in the past 40 years by any local or foreign coach less than 1 & half year , therefore broken 40 years old record ; by Amunike age , he was just 10 years old boy when Tanzania last qualified for Afcon which means no any player taken to 2019 Afcon were born when Tanzania last qualified for Afcon let alone ever played in Afcon before 2019 ( that record alone is more than winning Afcon , that is what is called expert at work , breaking and setting records , that is aside the fact , he was achieving this without being paid salary several months even in the tournaments, he was sacked because he did not perform magic by only broken record of qualifying but not going further to set another record by wining oga Rohr-type bronze ) , our oga Rohr on the other hand as expert , could not break any record in his 4 years uninterrupted salary payment and ridiculous increment . Keshi in less than 2 years not only break record of Westerhof of 94 w/c by reaching second round in W/C but also qualified S/E for Afcon who had also failed to qualify for the previous Afcon tournament and then set a record as the first local coach to achieve this ( that is what is called doing the unthinkable as expert !) even with sabotage and unpaid salary by the NFF ( as NFF never want success of our local coaches due to their selfishness) and Keshi was sacked after W/C , Keshi also went to the tiny Togo as expert and less than 2 years he set a record that has never been achieved before any of the players , President, football officials and Keshi were born !!! Oga Rohr on the other hand as the so called expert he took an hungry S/E who failed to qualify for the previous Afcon but could only ended up with shameful bronze medal that we couldn’t remember when last decades we ever celebrated 3rd place , Rohr was not only recommended for training that should have been paid by NFF because of his deficiencies which @ MrHush also agreed but was rewarded with 40% salary increment !!! it can only happen in the country of ours that your local coach that achieved higher than set target by wining Cup was not given $1 increment for job well done but you give a failed foreigner who never break nor set any record not 10,20% but 40 salary increment !!! You can then imagine the increment he would have been given if had surpassed set target. Siasia never lost single match when he took over S/E , he was only brought in on rescue mission when NFF choice Eguafon had lost and put S/E qualification jeopardy, Siasia was forced on NFF and was sacked despite losing on head to head rule and as usual months of unpaid salaries , I think , Siasia achievement as the Olympic finalist sliver medal- losing only to the star studded Messi inspired team and and only bronze medal , this was achieved despite months of unpaid salary , with Siasia always sourcing for finance by himself , it such an embarrassment that his last Olympic, it was another country that bought flight tickets to the players that enabled them to enter field just few minutes before kickoff ( so no question of unpaid salary or bonus )
If a 3rd ratted coach like oge Rohr were to work in the suffocating atmosphere of unpaid salary and sabotage by NFF, like Siasia, Keshi Amodu etc he would have crashed out in the first round
4. Why the NFF always go for foreign coach : you should ask them , what they always gain that is not known to Nigerians because, our people would say , it is only a mad man that do same thing in same way yet expect different result, when your local coach wins Afcon and you never motivated him with $1% salary increment but you gave 40% increment to a foreign coach that has never won tea cup ☕️ in his life . Would you expect magic from a coach that was working without good working condition and unpaid salary ? Siasia, Keshi , Amodu they both sued NFF over accumulated unpaid salaries but our Oga received salary in advance as at then still came out with shambolic performance as he cannot give what he does not have .
It’s better for you to shut your crap because I will always call you and the rest of your miserable morons out when I see lies and sentiments. I don’t need to tell you how uncultured and uneducated I am as long as I refuse to let you and the rest of your miserable morons come here to lie and try to deceive people with sentimental lies bereft of ideas. Your long Epistles is utter rubbish as usual. You have absolutely no facts to back up up your useless points.
Look at how myopic you are talking about how people talk to themselves in the western world I laugh in Swahili. Have you heard how US president Donald Trump talk to the media? You must be a fool not to have seen that if you truly love in the western world. Even Biden who is the presumptive democratic nominee was causing out an auto worker in Detroit during one of campaign the other day. When someone talks foolishly and doesn’t what the hell he’s talking about that’s what they get. Again I’m glad you’ve shut your crap. Miserable morons of the highest order.
Lairs on the prowl. Some people can lie for a living.
No 1 LIE:
Rohr has never been owed salary for one day….In your desperate effort to belittle Rohr you seem to be the only one on CSN who has never heard of Rohr being owed….https://www.completesports.com/rohr-owed-150000-three-months-salary-by-the-nff/…..That was after AFCON. Earlier in the year, he was owed 4 months salary. Your NFF initially lied that they weren’t owing salaries, only bonuses….later the claimed it was only September salaries they owed the man….they even owed Dennerby salaries too…https://m.sport24.co.za/Soccer/International/swede-quits-as-nigeria-womens-coach-over-unpaid-wages-20191011…Later, from not owing Rohr 3 months salaries, they paid off 50% of the 3 months salaries….https://www.legit.ng/1267959-gernot-rohr-finally-paid-3-months-salary-nff-owes-him.html….abeg how do you pay off a debt you never owed in the first place…LMAO…https://theleadng.com/unpaid-wages-rohr-threatens-to-dump-super-eagles-after-brazil-friendly…other public spats over unpaid wages are there for you to read….http://nigeriannewsdirect.com/onigbinde-urges-nff-to-pay-rohr/….https://sportingtribune.com/rohr-reacts-questions-3-months-salary-debt/…..https://www.naijaloaded.com.ng/sport/revealed-nff-owing-super-eagles-boss-rohr-three-months-salary…..https://www.newswatch.ng/nff-owes-workers-five-months-salaries/……From as far back as 2017, they’ve been owing him salaries…in 2018 they owed him 4 months salary in early 2019 they owed another 4 months. So stop coming to feed us crap of better conditions of service here.
NO 2 LIE:
Amunike created record in Tanzania.
A record doing is something that has never been done before, or surpassing what has been done before….not doing what has been done before even if it was done 1000 years ago.
This was culled directly from Wikipedia….”…The national team’s records in the tournament is also not impressive, with five defeat and one lone draw dated from their 1980 debut edition, a 1–1 draw to Ivory Coast. The 2019 successful qualification was only the second time Tanzania qualified by their own, although it was mostly helped by lucks thanked for Cape Verde and Lesotho failed to win….” So Tanzania scraped through not by their own doing but by the help of other teams either of who could have qualified if any of them had won.
Tanzania earned a draw in their previous outing and even scored in every game they played, incluiding against big wigs like Nigeria, Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire….in 2019 they couldn’t even manage a draw against ordinary Kenya. As a matter of fact their performance in 2019 was even worse than that of 1980..they conceeded more and score less…..so pls where is the record Amunike set…? Or you meant a worse record..? B4 2019 AFCON qualifiers, you MUST top your group to qualify, Tanzania relied on another team’s misfortune to sneak 2nd place in their 2019 AFCON group to qualify as one of the last best placed No 2…..unlike the 80s team that topped theirs…..Mr Aviation technician…..that’s no record. Stop being a lair on a public forum just because you want to advance your arguement.
Amunike’s win ratio as Tanzania coach was 22%…..according to you…should be F9 too…LMAO…so maybe we can say he too shouldn’t come near our national team… because he’s a failure…can’t even beat ordinary Kenya. As a matter of fact he couldn’t qualify our U20 national team for U20 AFCON sef (Aigbogun even tried by getting to the world cup)
Talking about records Rohr still holds the record for the highest win ratio as SE coach (58%)…. He holds the record for the highest number of matches won in a single tournament, holds the record for the highest number of overall points earned in a single tournament and holds the record of being the only coach to have qualified for consecutive major tournaments with games to spare, He also holds a record of having been to the only coach to have raise Nigeria close to 40 places on FIFA rankings during his time. No coach has ever done that.
Gabon’s best ever placing in the history of AFCON remains under Rohr….5th position. Where they exited the unbeaten at the Qfinals winning 3 and drawing 1…if you think it was because they were co-host, they hosted in 2017 and couldn’t win one match….so being the host is a crap arguement…(Egypt hosted in 2019 but couldn’t even reach Qfinals) Gabon’s 2nd best placing was in 1996 (7th position) where they won just 1 match.
No 3 LIE.
Siasia was forced on NFF……LMAO.
By who…? By your village chief or your ancestors….??? LMAO
Siasia was interviewed along with Keshi and Oliseh after the 2010 WC and got the job despite coming a distant 3rd in the interviews. Siasia failed to qualify us for 2012 AFCON QED…stop boring us with the excuse that Eguavoen lost the first match before Siasia’s substantive appointment….Rohr also lost his first AFCON qualifier and still qualified with a game to spare. Siasia needed any type of win in his last game which was even a home game….he couldn’t QED. He still also failed the 2nd time in 2016….if he had defeated Egypt by 2 goals at home we would still have qualified. Stop making up fake stories for us here.
With fat lairs like you around Arik, I’m not surprised the company ran into distress. You’ve been lieing all over the place before now, boasting of being an international consultant, telling everyone you don’t dictate what type of accomodation you want or in what currency you want to be paid blah blah blah but I chose to ignore you, but I can’t stomach anymore of your lies. Some of us here too are widely travelled, widely experienced and know far more than all your crap stories and lies…forget that we all come here to talk football.
If you are what you claimed you are and has risen to management level you should at least understand the basics of projects and operations management and know that tasks have set targets or deliverables which are set at the design phase of the task and are set to be SMART (R meaning realistic) based on where you are coming from and where you are headed. And I suppose you should know something about performance related bonuses when deliverables are met (which could include a promotion or a renewed contract) if you have not just remained a charlatan. No super eagles coach ever inherited a team that was ranked 70th in the world. When a team is ranked 70th in the world and has not qualified for 2 consecutive AFCONs, your immediate realistic target can never be winning the next AFCON or World cup. Even Paul Le Given told Pinnick point-blank that qualification for WC and Semifinal of AFCON was impossible for a team ranked 16th in Africa. Rohr’s didn’t set those targets, his employers did and if your local coaches don’t have enough sense to put clauses in their contracts that guarantees them a reward for meeting targets…it’s their headache…it’s part of the incompetence and naivity we are talking about….bcos most of them beg Pinnick for jobs via phone calls and sell their conscience to NFF officials even before they are engaged. Now that we have gotten to this level Rohr has brought us our next realistic target (if NFF has enough sense to put it in his contract) should be the AFCON 2021 trophy and WC Qfinals….but I’m sure they are concerned about now is how they will dictate whom he invites to the SE to him.
At a time when nobody was ready to descend so low as to take over a team ranked 70th in the world Rohr fearlessly took up the challenge and achieved the targets set for him by his employers parading the youngest (and possibly most inexperienced) teams of both tournaments and you call him a failure….??? LMAO. You too must be a failure for not owning an airline today after many years in the avaition industry…..going by your line of thought. If he’s a failure abeg who use jazz hol NFF hand from typing his sack letter…??? Why is it so difficult to sack him…??? Did he employ the NFF or did the NFF employ him…??? If he is not adding any value to us again why are they giving him another contract to sign all the time…???
He has given us a real U23 team that can rub shoulders with any top 20 SENIOR national team in the world today….not the fake U23s that beat their last borns mates at the Olympics. Majority of Belgium’s Beijing team that we beat in the semifinals (Fellaini, Witsel and co) are still playing till today…..majority of Argentina’s Beijing team that we lost to in the finals (Romero, Aguero, Dimaria, Zabaleta, Fazio, Mascherano) are still playing at the top level today…..our own Beijing team have all almost retired from football (some since 5years ago) the ones still playing like Ezenwa are either back in the Nigerian league or playing in 4th division (like Nsofor) in Europe I give our Rio team just 4 more years, we will see who will still be left playing at the top level amongst them….and you call that a laudable achievement…that is greater than winning AFCON…??? LMAO. Pls why did your Olympics medals not improve your FIFA rankings…why did ordinary AFCON bronze medal improve FIFA rankings…???
As an aviation expert as you claim, when you’ve just built or carried out a major overhaul of an aircraft turbine….do you commission it by full-throttling and by firing it on all cylinders or by gradually revving it up and monitoring/evaluating it’s performance first…??? Even airplanes taxi slowly on the ground first before they take off and cruise at altitude…..So if you like write an entire book chapter on how Rohr failed WAEC, how he failed JAMB, how he failed A levels and how he failed in College….the fact remains that he is the current eagles coach, he has made our team great again and will be coach till after 2022 (all things being equal).
Baba, 2022 is a long time to be a hater o…. If e too pain you now, abeg quickly go stand for front of aeroplane wey wan takeoff.

@ Dr Drey
I am short for words. This guy flaunts his profession without restraints. It’s as if his profession is out of this world: no Nigerian had ever attained such a high calling. And we the ordinary people should take whatever comes from the jaundiced and poisoned pen of an “aviation engineer.” The wretched fellow doesn’t know that Aviation industry is not soccer. (I bet if my Year 12 daughter studying in a developed country fires him a small physics question on acceleration of moving bodies, he’ll sweat).
Let us hear word.
Many of us are fanatical fans of the SuperEagles, even though we’d taken our qualifications to tertiary levels . . . ha ha ha . ;. . aviation engineer!!!!!!!
Our simple position: Rohr is no asuper coach, but he has done a good job and given us satisfactory results. We acknowledge that he is not the best coach in the land,. But this man is God-fearing and has a good heart. Give him a fair contract. Let us stick with him for the next four years to see if he can complete his assignment and give us a very polished team.
Forget all these inferences how the Aviation Industry does it. This is soccer.
Was sleeping, when I heard the cry of a baby ngaii, ngaii ngaii ngaii….from this forum n discovered it’s been coming from @stan. Pls Drey have mercy on him n kindly help with a baby sucker pls. Drawing up conclusions on any matter like this, without taking circumstances into consideration is utter rubbish. I score Rohr a massive success, judging from where we were, where we are now n d atmosphere, he had been made to work from onset. I don’t come here to make enemies,be a stooge or get political, but just to enjoy proper reasoning with honest minds, hence I m most of the time in support of comments from Drey, Hush, Pompeii, Aphyllidgreat, Oakfield n many others here albeit never lesser.
One thing we all have in common as a fan on this forum is that we all want SE to succeed.
Would I have love us to win the last nation cup and do very well at the last world cup? My answer is YES but again i know from my experience Rome wasn’t built in a day.
The problem with the present day generation is that we are too impatient. Reason why we see youth becoming Yahoo boys, ritualists, arm robbers etc. We have to understand that the only way to success is hard work and patience.
This eagles is growing in leaps and bounds. Nigeria players market value is growing. Suddenly, never as it happened in the history of Nigeria, that big footballing countries want to play us without major tournament coming up. Please do we think countries like Germany, Brazil etc are fool? They are seeing what many of we so called fans are not seeing.
Guys I am pleading with us to chill. A Yoruba adage will say (“di e di e le diye mu omi yo”) little by little a hen will drink water till she get satisfy. Before now there were several coaches who have coached nigeria, some did well and others not. Today is Rohr turn, tomorrow will be another man turn, so let us continue to support him. Afterwards his boss in the nff gave him a mandate and he’s yet to fail.
I followed the SuperEagles in 2014 all the way from their camp in Philadelphia to Porto Allegre in Brazil. I heard a lot about how Keshi was sharing bonuses with the likes of Uzoenyi, Egwueke, Gabriel Reuben, Oboabona and the likes because he had a lot of backing from the then president Goodluck Jonathan. A tournament where the SuperEagles could’ve made history if he had selected an inform Ike Uche, Lukman Haruna, Joel Obi, Sone Aluko who were all in terrific form at the time. It was the NFF that forced Osaze Odemwingue on him and if not for his goal against Bosnia that team would never had gone past the group stage. We all know what happened afterwards. A team that played in the round of 16 of the world cup couldn’t qualify for the AFCON in 2015.
In came Mr run away Oliseh. He fought with Nigeria’s greatest ever goalie Enyeama. Fought with Emenike, chose Musa ahead of Mikel as the captain and even benched Mikel in a crucial world cup qualifier. Brought in players like Igboun, Obiora, Onobi and some players whom his brother Churchill Oliseh was their agent. The result was that we failed to qualify for another AFCON in 2017 and SuperEagles were ranked 70th in the. None of all this miserable morons could come here to comment then. Not until we started qualifying for tournaments with games to spare that they began to crawl out from their caves to tell the coach what to do.
Hehehehehe…..all of a sudden, from nowhere, SE were supposed to win 2019 AFCON….SE were supposed to beat Brazil…..and Rohr is not doing anything o… LMAO
Pls where did the belief come from if the team had been wobbling and fumbling….? Lolz
Calling your fellow Nigerian a moron doesn’t sound educated and polite. Please change that attitude, even Dr Drey can’t do that.
I knew you have been following the Eagles for long, we were all in kick-off.com then, you love the Super Eagles and so do I.
Can you tell me where I lied in all my comments?
My point is that constructive criticism should be allowed for the growth of the team rather than seeing those doing so as miserable morons, fat lier, enemies and so on.
When you labelled me follow follow what does that suggest? Since you know me from the days of KON how come you think I don’t have a mind of my own?? Even Drey and I used to disagree with a lot of things during those days. Anyway I may have blown the moronic view out of contest. However, I stand by my submission that the SuperEagles are progressing under Rohr and I don’t love Rohr more than the SuperEagles. My single most important point is that since his appointment he has always selected players on form and merit. That is in contrast to most of our local coaches.
I supported Keshi in the beginning of his tenure until he started messing up. Same with siasia and Oliseh, but the truth is that local coaches have failed us over the last decade. They all inherited the SuperEagles when we had great players like Yobo, Enyeama, Mikel, Utaka, Obafemi Martins, the Uche brothers, Taye Taiwo, and the likes as at 2010 SuperEagles were ranked in the top 20 in the world. For our football to nosedive to missing 3 out of 4 AFCONS and relegated to 70th in the world was baffling to the extent that Paul Le Guen and some other foreign coaches rejected the SuperEagles when the NFF were running around looking for a substantive coach.
The fact that Rohr accepted the challenge is quite encouraging when the entire world thought the SuperEagles will never make it out of a world cup qualifiers group of death. Rohr has invited more home based players to the SuperEagles than any of his predecessors in the last decade. Not that he doesn’t have his own flaws far from it, but he has built this team from scratch to the extent that we don’t even miss any of Mikel, Moses, or ighalo. We now have a young, vibrant and energetic SuperEagles that I’m sure will shock the world in the nearest future. #FLY LIKE AN EAGLE INTO THE FUTURE#.
The notion of clamoring for home based players to be invited into the SuperEagles at this time is quite laughable. At a time when the best player in our local league is 40 year old Rabiu Ali. At a time when our local team could not even qualify for the CHAN tournament. Which league should he be monitoring? A league that’s been dysfunctional over the last two seasons. You see I didn’t want get into this issue to begin with, but when I read some really flawed comment from people who claims to be criticising constructively I have to refuse to let that happen. Not on this forum.
I am always one to see things through the lense of a reasonable man; reasonable meaning using logic to address situations.
Logic tends to swing towards facts as it relates to a subject matter and such can only be dissected based on the context of such subject matter. Logic is totally blind to emotions.
So let’s look at this logical,I will ask these questions ;
Why should Rohr be fired?
Is that going to be justifiable based on “current” results?
Is it the fault of Rohr he is being paid the amount he is being paid?
Do anyone remember the state Keshi left the Super Eagles when he was fired?
Do anyone remember the reason majority of Nigerians clamoured for the appointment of a foreign coach when we failed to qualify back to back for an Afcon, even when we were Champions?
To those underlying Rohr’s ability due his background before taking the Super Eagles job; you should understand there is only so much a coach can do with teams like Gabon,Niger or Burkina Faso. They aren’t really power horses. A coach can only work as good as the quality he has on the pitch.it is sad reality. Yes,sometimes a Madagascar or Leicester city comes up and do a surprise run but they are what they are in context, an anomaly , it is never sustainable. So it Is totally unfair to Rohr to be judged based on his time with these countries why leaving out his stints at Bordeaux, German FA etc.
Regarding such, a world class coach in Marcelo Lippi, actually failed woefully with China , this is a world cup winning coach. He got to understand that China isn’t Italy. So on that context, we should cut Rohr some slack and try to judge him on his present job, being the Super Eagles coach.
Sticking to context, Rohr hasn’t won any cups yet, his style of play is predictably conservative but he has far more winning rate than all those before him.
I dare say, the only reason most of us are even talking about the Eagles again, looking forward to their next match,no matter the opponent, is because of the belief Rohr has built in this team. That is a tall order looking at where we are coming from. He deserves respect for this.
And for the complaint about his preferential treatment, if course he would be treated as such, it has nothing to do with the colour of skin rather than the fact he is a foreigner and an expatriate. It is common knowledge, a guest is treated preferentially not for anything but for civility. An expat, no matter the colour of his/her skin, is well treated by the host and mostly better paid, better packaged as well. After all,Amunike is black but treated like an expat in Tanzania and Egypt. Same for Oliseh in the Netherlands,Keshi in Togo,Amodu in South Africa, Emenalo in Chelsea etc.
They were fairly given good packages better the host’s “citizens” in that context.
They might have left their jobs in different modes , so do Westerners at some point, it doesn’t change the fact they were once expats (and still are in some case).
Yes westerners tend to be treated preferentially much more ,but it is also true that Westerners have better CV and more professional, so make better Expats. It is sad.But true.
Few Africans would do better than Westerners in a similar job, but we are but few. Most of us are totally ilked towards corruption that we tend to lose all sense of professionalism when the time comes. Not saying the West arent prone this as well but on a logical scale, their case of unprofessionalism is totally minimal compared to the African. It is sad but true.
But I digress,Rohr has done exceptionally well and should let to continue doing his job, if he agrees to the new abnormal contract. He deserves a little bit of respect.
We shouldn’t allow our overzealousness to make us self destruct.
The Super Eagles has always been a decent side. We are good on our day. But we should not be clouded by fantasies that we were always untouchable till Rohr. We weren’t.
Rohr is leading us on a good path. I do criticise his flaws per match, but it is out of respect for the work he is doing ,more so out of love for my national team and my country.
To the Anti Rohr,I am not going to change your perception,it is yours. Hopefully,Time does.
(I hope I answered your question @Destar..If not,@Dr Drey has done well answering much..much respect to@Cuteprince; @Goal)
He came, he saw, he ran away!
Hehehehe….a quote from the great forumites on AFRICA PLAYS. Those were the days….
No body ran away, we dey kamkpe.
No leave no transfer, we die there.
Goal, I wasn’t referring to you.
Read Ayphillydegreat’s comments to find out the identity of our former Super Eagles coach – the runaway coach.
HE CAME, HE SAW, HE PICK RACE.
The man saw wahala, come run commot.
To be continued……
So Goal, abi na Over-the-bar, or Offside,
These names Dr. Drey gave you really fit you ooo. See as you just assumed I was referring to you, just like that. You should have asked, and I would have clarified. But you chose to jump to conclusion, thereby smashing the ball OVER THE BAR. OSA STRAIGHT. O GBE GBAGI. Hehehehehe!
Next time, don’t be in such a hurry to assume that people’s comments are directed at you, especially when your name was not mentioned! If not, everybody hear will soon become your sworn enemy, IN YOUR MIND! 🙂
Lol @ pompei
Hahahaha @ Pompei….pls pardon him.
In the words of Late Baba Eleran (GBHS) at Adamasingba stadium during the heydays of Up sooting….
“O ye ko gba lebu sot (Level or Straight shot) ni”
LMAO
My hapiness is “atleast not every body are carried away with blind hatred”…..
I’m over the moon for what i’ve seen so far….
So we still have some God fearing youth in Nigeria that can “CALL A SPADE A SPADE”…..
For acknowledging and recommending somebody’s effort, for seeing the energy and fight somebody put in affairs of another country wich is not even his fatherland; and without mincing word you accept and praise him…. I DECLARE THAT MEN AND WEMEN FROM ALL SPHERE OF LIFE SHALL ACKNOWLEDGE AND RECOMMEND UR LITTLE EFFORT IN YOUR PLACE OF WORK, OFFICE or ANY POST YOU ARE ASIGNED TO HANDLE IN THIS LIFE…..
GOD ALMIGHTY WILL CAUSE MEN TO PRAISE YOU EVEN WHEN YOUR STRENGTH IS SMALL……
GOD WILL SURELLY BLESS EVERYONE OF U DAT REFUSE TO DISCREDIT THE WORK OF OGA ROHR……
I’m not a huge fan of Rohr, but the man has done well, guys please let’s give him another chance with a workable environment hopefully he would prove his doubters wrong. I’m just worried about us hustling backwards again, folks remember how some people chased away Jonathan Goodluck see what we got in return, a old smelly terrorist.
@Goal , as I always advised, please don’t loose focus and never go descend low to a level that sensible people would want to question education attainment and upbringing ( like the wise saying You will not know that education is not expensive until you buy ignorance) , so every people have priorities in life, so if anyone missed the needed education in life and was unfortunate to be badly brought up , it would be too bad of double tragedy . I appreciate you for not going down to a piggy level who usual would want to wrestle with a descent person so that you can both look dirty. Can’t you see the way every honourable members in forum @Stan,@ Dr Drey, @ Mr Hush @ Mercy etc have been comporting themselves in the house with details analysis based on their individual perceptions from the angle at which they look at the subject matters. As far as I am concerned, will not change my principle because of my upbringing with level of education which was not obtained cheaply , therefore , to me , silent is still the best answer for a fool .
Even as at then , one may put total blame of such character on lack of education and proper upbringing but also , the unfortunate set of leaders we are having at the every strata of our governances which did not leave out Football federation both the past and present ( in a glass house where money is eaten by all sorts of animals like snake ) as well as each successive government at the national level that turned the once giant of Africa now mosquitoes of Africa where the lazy youths (apology to PMB) cannot for once engaged their brains in any productive ventures other than coming to the platform with all manners of vulgar and derogatory foul languages on fellow Nigerians (because Trump uses such languages on Africans as in Sh……..). If government had done the needful providing needed jobs for every youths irrespective of his education, we would probably get better civilized output from such character except it is extremely upbringing deficiencies which are sometimes in the DNA of some people linage. ( I seldom contribute in the platform for some years because of such characters and not only on time time constraints but also as in the every successive government in Nigeria in the resent past , every different leadership in NFF are always changing batons to themselves just like PDP& APC , no any differences ; but I choose to break my long silence because of my concern to my nation where I need to put my thought down for record purpose ).
On final note , I still maintain my stance , there is notting special with a 3rd rated coach like in view of Rohr last and present achievement to have signed very ridiculous contract of living in his country Germany as if he were doing our country favour, ( It is not done anywhere ) plus $40% salary increment for a bronze medallist coach in Afcon, when our local coaches like Chairman Chukwu , Eguafon’ Amodu were rightly never recognized as achiever by their virtue of their bronze medallist and also Keshi that took S/E team that failed to qualify for previous Afcon later used the hungrier set of local boys with foreign players to set a record of surpassing a set target by wining Afcon was never given $1% Salary increment (it is noted with our resent past history, anytime S/E failed to qualify for Afcon, they were normally on fire when they eventually qualified) he either come down to Nigeria and take his job with the serious commitment that requires by fishing out raw diamonds in our local league ( this time around , he should publish the names of those raw talents discover because, there are misinformation going by his fanatics who never see reason that it is reasonable for an employee to live in the country of his employer as he was not hired for the foreign based players alone but for every citizen youths of Nigerians in the foreign land and in the local , with the pretext that Nigeria league is daft of a single talent ( what an unfortunate statement against our poor youths who are striving to become somebody in life) , whereas , oga Rohr claimed in his recent interview claimed to have discovered 24 talented players in the same league that had been long written off by his supporters in this platform , and he further said no sooner has he discovered them , they all capitalized on the exposure to quickly moved to foreign countries to pursue their career . Haba oga Rohr!! with due respect sir , what are the names of these talented boys ? who are we to believe, you or your supporters that said nothing good can come out of our dead local league as same Keshi distractors have said then ? Given equal opportunity, working environment and steady salary the likes of Amunike are better choice than oga Rohr , we should rather go with our local coaches rather than wasting money on average coach .
It should be on record , if oga Rohr contract is renewed and he did not get himself trained further with his “bigman” approach to be too big to reside in Nigeria to do the needful, it will be another 2019 re-election of PMB.
Hahahaha…you are asking for the names of the local players Rohr discovered…??? Why not go and do your own proper research to prove him wrong before coming here to give us fake stories as if we weren’t alive in 1980 when we won our first AFCON. Yet you call some people lazy…?!
Whereas 80-90% of all your written in the last few days are pure lies…???
You, that one that calls himself goal (but is always talking over the bar) and Omo9ja are some of the most chronic lairs I’ve met on a public forum. I doff my hat for you guys. And it doesn’t mean you will apologize for lieing after being busted o. You still go ahead to substantiate lies with more lies.
Gosh…you guys are simply the bomb…seriously, Shekau must be feeling really jealous reading the bombshells you throw on this platform with reckless abandon. LMAO
Destar, silent is the best answer for a fool and yet you’re asking for the home based players Rohr invited to the SuperEagles lmao!! What does that mean? You’ve been reading my comments after all. Mr not cheap education. Your problem is way beyond you. You have absolutely no point at all. You only come here to make a fool of yourself. If you like go and hug a wet electric pole Rohr will remain the SuperEagles coach till the end of 2022 world cup. Wait till he lose or draw a match before you can have a filled day here.
Ah, you guys are still on this issue.
Let me add something to what I have said earlier today then.
Hmm, fellow Nigerians, I just want to ask a simple question from you all. Are we fighting for the sake of our nation or coach Rohr?
This is what Mr. Green also said about coach Rohr.
‘He’s an average coach,’ – Chris Green berates Gernot Rohr
Former technical committee Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation, Christopher Green has stated that Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr does not deserve a new contract.
According to Green, Genort Rohr has failed in his duties and should be shown an exit door because he has done nothing new all along and he has not surpassed the achievement of the previous home-based coaches who have managed the Eagles team.
“What we gave Rohr and what we got in return is a poor showing at the world cup and a third-place at the nation’s cup which I think we did not deserve.
“We should have at least gotten to the Quarterfinals at the world cup to show that he is an expert, an expatriate who is better and bigger than anyone found in Nigeria,’ Green told brila.net.
Green also lamented against the number of years it takes to build the national team.
“How many years will it take you to build? Do you have to build the team every time for a single tournament?
“With all due respect, he is an average coach, he is as good as any home-based coach and so, why don’t we look inward if we want the kind of result Gernot Rohr has given us in this country?
“We can look inward and give that person the coaching role, and of course, I do tell people if you want to get these Nigeria coaches to handle the national team, you will not pay them the kind of money you are paying Rohr,
“We have Finidi George and Emmanuel Amunike these are people I know they can help our football to grow”.
So my people, what can you say to this?
You guys have been calling me names because I’m fighting for our rights, is that not funny?
I’m not really concerned about that though. I hope you will not be calling Mr. Green names
However, we patriotic Nigerians will never open our two eyes korokoro like this to let you Oga Rohr fans, NFF and coach Rohr himself deceiving us anymore.
We have law but our oppressors are above the law. Amaju, Diko and Sheyi for instance would have bn in the prison yard by now.
So, we are expecting good result from them?
If not because of Mr. Dare, the sport minister is not corrupt like these our oppressors, NFF would have signed Oga Rohr contract before now.
If you love your country, this is the right time to fight and take your country back but if you like Oga Rohr more than your country, don’t do the right thing. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Hehehehe…you only post news that suits your line of thought here…LMAO.
Almost all our exinternationals including king Papillo has said Rohr should continue, even your Bonfrere Jo said Rohr has done a good job, respected voices in the game such as Oga orunmen have lent their support to Rohr…but you would never post those ones here….it is the same Chris Green that orchestrated the downfall of Our local coaches that can now open mouth and talk about treating them well that you post here.
That guy was head of our yeye technical committee/department (I don’t know how a barrister will be the technical head of an FA…I never hear am before) when we couldn’t qualify for 2012 and 2015 AFCON, when our SE was jankara market like they turned our 2019 U17 team. Those are the fraudsters that took us to 70th position in the world. What else will they say…?! LMAO.
Since Rohr came, no business for them again….no more money for hand player for list as was before. Most of them are broke now and can’t wait to see Rohr leave for another person who is willing to sell his soul to the devil. Nigerians are wiser now.
Don’t worry since you choose to ignore recycling any news that says something good about Rohr…let me help you.LMAO

“…Dutchman Jo Bonfrere has posited that the present crop of young Super Eagles players have the potential to jell into a great squad and rule the continent if properly managed, Completesports.com reports.
And the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games soccer gold-winning coach of Nigeria U23s told Completesports.com that though the Gernot Rihr’s men did not achieve their 2019 AFCON dream in Egypt, they have shown there are better days ahead.
“Yes, They were not creating the scoring chances as can be expected, but the players are young, they are good individually and if well managed, yes, they can do it (in future),” Bonfrere said.
“Nigeria has plenty talents. They are young and they can play together more. Yes, it will be a good team in the future”.
The Africa Cup of Nations silver medal winner in 2000 admitted Algeria deserved to win the AFCON 2019 title.
“The final was great, Senegal was good but, yes, Algeria played more tactics. They are the worthy champions of Africa.”

Atlanta 1996 Olympic gold medal winning coach with Nigeria U-23 Eagles, Jo Bonfrere, has described the current Super Eagles team as more organised under Gernot Rohr.
Bonfrere made this known in a chat with cafonline.com
“In Brazil (2014), the Super Eagles were poor,” Bonfrere who was assistant to countryman Clemence Westerhor when the Eagles qualified for USA 1994 World Cup remarked.
“Now there is organisation in the team because the coach has put a good Super Eagles team together,” The 2000 Africa Cup of Nations silver medal winner with the Super Eagles said.
As a medical doctor, you supposed to be at work instead of replying every comments here.
As essential duty worker you have no business here abeg leave us alone lol.
Hehehehehe…. Olodo rapata. Everyone with a dr appellation in your village works in a hospital ey?!
I thought you wrote in German you don’t have our time….so what are you still doing hanging on to people’s posts like a bedbug…? LMAO.
Later you will accuse someone else of being a troll and never stating his independent opinions…..Talk about hypocrisy. LMAO
Destar, your education is not cheap. Did you go to Harvard?? Or did you go to UPENN?? If you go to any of those schools then you can come back and talk to me about not having a cheap education. Otherwise continue to remain silent. Go and watch the way Trump and Biden talk to people. Those are people ruling the world and they have some of the best education your entire generation can ever imagine. Chronic liar of the highest order.
@drey don’t you see his level of understanding…that everyone with Dr. Appellation is only but a medical staff???
Are no doctorate degree holders in philosophy?
Now u can understand why I admonished you earlier on not to bother enlightening their ignorance…cos they’ll keep arguing for arguing sake and my take was that it’s because they want to make forum lively…thanks all actors
We enjoy everyone’s debates but must uphold the truth with facts
My brother Stan I have no beef with you… An elderstatesman in sports forums like you shouldn’t be abusive as you were to me in the other thread…don’t forget no matter how elderly or matured in mind we are we are Nigerians and still possess some street in us irrespective of the years we’ve spent abroad or our level of education.
Happy Easter and cheers everyone
@ Cuteprince.
Leave that one for me. He is Borewors and chicken barbecue for me. I know his limits….for someone who says the number of likes you get is a validation of your assertions…whether they are established and publicly verifiable facts or not…?! LMAO
It is a paradox that his ID is “Goal”. A better fitting name would have been “over-the-bar”, or “offside” LMAO
@ Dr. Drey , Reading your comic comment , I was rolling with laughter, you would definitely be a great actor . I have to rest my case , it is not in me given myself headache rather than using my head for meaningful, does 9gr really worth crucifying ourselves for ?
But point of correction, Papilo Kanu never said Rohr should not be sacked , please go and read his interview again, his complaint then was timing , that it was too closed to the qualifying match , now that Corona-Virus has helped out with the postponement indefinitely, this is the right time to sack him and invest in our own Amunike and Yobo .
In all fairness, oga Rohr, if he can be truthful to himself except his supporters who are crying more than the bereaved , none of his past 3 African employers ever tolerated him up to 2 years before showing him exit door , who would have tolerated an average coach like Rohr who signed a contract with condition of working from his comfort room in his country for 4 years !! It is only 9gr that can condone such nonsense.
Nevertheless, it is nice exchanging intellectual ideas with you .
@Omo9ja, you can never stop to impress me , nothing to add , you are simply the best . Please our watchword , never loose focus , no derogatory and foul languages on your fellow Nigerians over an average coach for that matter , not even world class should we debased our value .
I have to rest my case for now, this is eating much from my precious time . 1 love awa omo Odududuwa
Yea…we’ve heard you.
We should throw away our current coach because he is average, but we should employ our local coaches who are not even anywhere close to being average yet….people like Yobo who isn’t even a coach yet….LMAO.
Pls leave our below average coach for us. We like him like that. At least he is not selecting players simply because they greet well and pick bottles in camp after training (like Keshi took Eguekwe who had chicken pox and Gabriel Ruben who was still recovering from one yeye 4months hamstring injury to AFCON abi na WC sef, or Oliseh that suddenly brought all the substandard players in his brother’s agency from Scandinavia into the super eagles, Or Manu garba took Abba Bichi to the U17 WC and was scared of playing him even in our inconsequential last group match against Australia which even a loss wouldn’t stop us from finishing top of the group).
When you find a local coach with experience and pedigree like the late Amodu or Keshi let us know. Coaching is not by skin colour or nationality or country of residence….it is experience and pedigree. There’s no local coach who has better experience and pedigree in the game like the current coach…and that’s a fact. Our national team will never again be a lab for internship and trails and error simply because we want to develop local coaches. Let them go and get 60% win ratio with senior professional clubs or national teams….not decieve us with medals gotten from boys tournaments prosecuted with middle aged men.
Rohr might be an average coach but he remains a respected legend and voice in top clubs like Bayern and Bordeaux…and has lifted us from being trampled upon even in Africa as chickens to being feared across the world as the true eagles we are. Even Bonfrere who is looking for every means to come back cannot but acknowledge that these eagles will shock the world in the nearest future.
Rohr stays till 2022…Anybody wey e pain, make e go sleep for express. LMAO
Just imagine how your not cheap education has caught up with you. Chronic liar. Mr aviation engineer that doesn’t know the law of physics. I bet if my 5 year old daughter ask you a question about Newton’s law you will sweating through your pants. I work for US airways for about 5 years before venturing into the Oil and gas industry and I don’t need a Mr not cheap education to tell me that gradual process is the basis of every human endeavor. See as your comments is disliked by everyone shows you how you’ve been making a fool of yourself on this platform. LMAO!! Continue to make yourself a laughing stock we’re here for you.
I believe we the SE fans should go by voting from what we’ve seen..
The coach will retain his job..
He has more support in every part of the wld at the moment
_ Should Rohr stay or go? _
Although his appointment was meant to be the next best thing after the NFF failed to secure the services of their preferred option of Paul Le Guen, German Gernot Rohr tenure have provided Super Eagles fans some of the best moments in recent history.
It will not be a stretch to claim that the appointment and tenure of the German is the single most important achievement of the Amaju Pinnick led NFF administration. It now beggars belief why the issue of his contract extension is playing out in the global media, internet chartrooms and social media platforms like a soap opera based on divorce with an expected acrimony that will eventually lead to a bitter break up.
But this never ceases to marvel me. I have always seen the marriage between Rohr and Amaju Pinnick like the union between African leaders and corruption – nothing in heaven and on earth could ever break them apart. But it appears my perception is highly misplaced.
In truth, Gernot Rohr as the coach of Nigeria divides opinions when it comes to his coaching methods, philosophy and in how far he could have taken the team had he demonstrated that bit more flexibility when it mattered – the games against Argentina and Algeria readily come to mind. The 65 year old tactician also comes across as a coach who does not seem to learn from mistakes. His team selections, formations and game-reading capabilities have been called into question and lovers of the Nigeria Professional Football League like myself are quick to jump at his throat for what is perceived to be scandalous neglect of home based players.
However, to sum up Gernot Rohr’s reign based on these minor, irrelevant, misguided, at times subjective and one-sided set of points would be like saying Nigeria is a country of criminals simply because a few bad eggs. We have to look at the good and the bad and then arrive at a balanced conclusion.
Gernot Rohr deserves a new contract – period!
What still baffles me is how rapid his relationship with his employers continues to decline. After the World Cup and Afcon, the NFF stood firmly by Rohr, but in recent times, we have started reading about how they have inserted clauses like “living in Nigeria” into his contract. For this same reason, Paul Le Guen rejected Nigeria. What has the NFF learnt?
Rohr’s heart is in the job. He is passionate, driven, determine, disciplined, focused and ready to take Nigeria to greater heights. These attributes are good enough for me.
When Rohr took over as coach of the Super Eagles on 9 August 2016, Nigeria was 16th in FIFA rankings for Africa and 67th in the World. This was a time when the national team were either struggling or labouring against teams like Tanzania, Uganda, Niger, Swaziland and Chad; the Super Eagles was in the doldrums and crucially, the morale of fans was very low.
Now, 3 year and 8 months since Rohr took over, we currently comfortably occupy 31st position in the global FIFA rankings and delicious 3rd place in Africa whilst putting perennial rivals Cameroon and South Africa in their place in last year’s Afcon. Globally, we are now comfortably rubbing shoulders with the likes of Ukraine and Brazil.
Morale among majority of Super Eagles fans is sky high.
Have there been bumps/hiccups on the Rohr road? Absolutely! However, any Super Eagles fan who thinks getting rid of Rohr will lead to a new coach who is perfect and infallible has to have his or her head examined (with all due respect).
We need to take the good with the bad as none of us is perfect in our walk of life.
“However, any Super Eagles fan who thinks getting rid of Rohr will lead to a new coach who is perfect and infallible has to have his or her head examined (with all due respect).”
That sums it up for me.
Nice article @deo I do enjoy reading most of your pieces like this one.
I have no problem with someone like you, your analysis is very objective, at least you mentioned the visible weak point of Oga Rohr which can be worked on and improve on it like game-reading,substitution, formation and others….
I can argue with someone like you, but someone like Drey and his disciples it’s a different kind of story.
Their love for oga Rohr is more than their love for Eagles, you can verify all this through their comments.
You can’t see any of them mentioning the area they think more work can be done to improve the team, if you do you become fat lier, enemy, moron and other insults.
I call this kind of people hypocrites especially Rohr’s chief media officer Dr Drey.
I’ve read through most of the comments concerning Gernot Rohr over the past few months and there have been strong points from both sides of the fence. Here’s my submission:
Coach Rohr has achieved the goals that were placed before him. That is an indisputable fact. Additionally, there’s a different aura about these super eagles that was lacking prior to his arrival. More organization, professionalism, dedication to the task, and even team spirit. Players know exactly what their job is when out there and you can see the game plan being executed without panic. Anyone who claims Rohr has failed or received an F9 is being disingenuous at best.
Now to the bad. Rohr can be too conservative sometimes. Its almost as if he’s afraid to release the shackles in order to keep the team discipline that he has worked so hard to establish. However with the attacking talent at his disposal most of us want to see more from that end of the pitch. He is starting to adjust that mindset however against his philosophy that seems to be.
Another negative is his seeming unwillingness to execute substitutions when things aren’t quite working out. Some will say he doesn’t read matches well. I don’t know if thats the case but those who say so can point to the argentina match at the world cup as an example, or his failure to see that Iwobi should have been used as the playmaker much sooner. To me these are valid points.
Clearly under Coach Rohr our standard has improved significantly. For me its not the games against the likes of the benins and lesothos that I judge him by, but against the teams on our level. He’s done well there having gotten solid records against algeria (1-1-1) cameroon (2-0-1), tunisia (1-0-0), and iceland (1-0-0). His losing records against that cailber is against argentina (0-0-1) and croatia (0-0-1). His results in top notch friendlies have been admirable with some notable scalps collected along the way (poland, argentina and good performances against ukraine and brazil).
Everything is relative. We are on an upward trajectory and quite frankly upsetting the apple cart right now is just pushing another self-destruct button in a long line of many of those we’ve pushed. Think big picture.Frankly speaking, there is no current Nigerian coach that is better than this guy even with his flaws and if you were to bring in another foreign coach, who will it be and where are they just waiting to be found?
I know its difficult for us to admit this, but top notch coaches are not looking to come to us for many obvious reasons!
Abeg let’s let the man finish the job he started. Its like tasting a soup when its only past halfway being cooked and declaring that the soup is not done yet….of course it isn’t!!!!
@Goal, I cannot agree less with your submission, @deo simply killed it , that is where quality education ,upbringing and exposure matter most , when you see sensible analysis and constructive argument, a responsible person would carry out critical evaluations of merit and demerits raised to form a reasonable conclusion. It is not a rocket science , even where he was opined that he may have used a word that may be interpreted offensive, he tendered apology , that is Coporate and civilized mentality ( how many Americans are proud of Trump today ? who many believe Americans doesn’t deserved such an uncultured leader , many Americans today wanted him impeached , where he had already made history as the 2nd or 3rd ( not sure) American president to be impeached but for party loyalty and the power block that brought him into power which does not necessarily translate into having majority, he wouldn’t have been elected president and few months ago , he would have become ex president, so I don’t know why a decent and civilized person would want to copy the bad aspect of such leader wholeheartedly, that is part of African inferiority complex we raised concern about on Rohr ,believing anything white man does, it is always the best without flaw and degrade our fellow Africans , but I refuse to buy that scrap as an educated and exposed African that knows his onions, Germany owned Lufthansa engineering team almost killed Arik Air , I strongly stood against them having work and rob minds with Aviation professionals worldwide, but the Chairman with African inferiority mentality complex learnt too late , when I see the way things were going , Lufthansa would deployed engineering trainee to Arik as certified engineers to be fully paid for as expert at the expense of the locals; all income goes to Lufthansa,I resigned and and moved forward not necessarily because of money ;(today after Lufthansa have been rightly kicked out, Arik Air staff who at a time owed 7months salaries are now getting regular salary as at when due). that is why quality education ,self believe and exposure comes in except those that loose it right from their upbringing as some proudly claimed in this platform, that they come from clan where they do kick their Clan’s elders into waste bin , should they hold contrary opinion against theirs , to argue or response to such would translates to being a bird of the same feathers ; any uncultured lazy youth that can kick his elder in his clan into dust bin , no one should be surprised if such person would become uncultured character that would find himself polluting a decent society and by extension internationally viewed forum like this platform. I therefore, humbly maintain my policy of never to argue or reply to such character.
@deon , I cannot agree lees with you, for some people to have believed Rohr is the super best, blinding to his numerous flaws among which you have mentioned with his strong points, coupled with nonsense clause of working from his country outside the country of his employer ( perhaps, he could have requested for additional clause of having S/E match moved to Germany because all his players are based in abroad) . I am sure , if Rohr would have a 3rd chance , he would take his job more serious by coming down to work in Nigeria as his work demands to get good Nigerian players wherever they play including our local league as where ones plays a-times may not translate into output , Sunday Mba from a written off league by some Nigerians , eventually became our messiah in the semifinals of Afcon and eventually scored the only goal in the final match where Keshi made history thanks to a local boy, thank God , it was not under age tournament, some in this platform would have belittled his achievement as being over age as they would belittled Siasia’ Olympic Sliver medal , when we know after World Cup that is the tournament that every Countries would kill themselves to win as the (USA basketball team do look forward to Olympic Games), the price medals and that is the reason , every country are given opportunity to include 5 overage best players from its national team so that no coach would get excuse of not being allowed to use his best players, great Brazil did all they could even bringing ageing Bebeto and Rolaldo in Atlanta 96 yet the best it could win then was bronze yet a local coach with only Ozaze as the only known senior eagles player ,even dropped the then best player Mikel for indiscipline and yet beat all white coached teams to win Sliver medal against Messi lead Argentina, Siasia was later to win bronze again of which no Coach in this world would have won a single match a single match under circumstances the man was frustrated by our football officials to such extent, it was another country that shamelessly bought flight tickets to the players who got to the field few minutes to kick off with their head high without Salary nor allowance ;if Siasia were to be a white man , he would have been a worshipped hero . Rohr would also do himself good to get himself further training to to be able to solve the well known technical deficiencies, even in the aviation world where I come from , it is mandatory, you undergo retraining every 2 years for you to be current on your job , this should be at his own expenses rather than waiting for money from NFF as no local coaches were ever given such opportunity.
Now the music is changing, Rohr claims he discovered 24 raw talents but were snatched up in abroad ( that is for benefit of doubt ) , this is contrary to his blind supporters with complex who said there is no single 1 talent that can be discovered in our local league and as such , the man should continue to enjoy his money living in his country outside his place of Employement.
My dearest brother @deon , we are on the same page .
I rest my case, and would not want to waste my precious time with some lazy “youths” again ,Seriously speaking my time is too precious to be wasted . I don’t have time , this is the little i can spear , would henceforth, be watching only
Trump is saying exactly what Americans wants to hear. The same applies to his opposition Biden they talk what Americans wants to hear. Of course is Africa not a sh……le?? I just came back from Nigeria on a business and project trip and I know how I always fight with handy men handling my projects many of whom claims to be educated and cultured like you but don’t know jack. Very incompetent bunch of humans. That’s why Africa never grows because some of them who only had an ordinary OND claims to be engineer there by using substandard materials to mess up lucrative projects. I have to use like 4 different set of contractors before o could even achieve half of what I went there to do. That is how incompetent people like you who claims to be cultured and not cheap education flaunts their mouths with the book of Moses with nothing to show for it. Deo himself has sum it. You need to get your head checked if you want Rohr to be replaced at this time. Like Drey also said you can go and sleep on the express way because Rohr will still be handling the SuperEagles till 2022. LMAO!!!
When did FIFA raise the number of overaged players in an Olympic team to 5 again….or am I missing something…??? LMAO
Mr Engineering, thank you for resting your case….I don’t think we can bear anymore lies from you at this juncture.
It’s Ok ehn. You have tried…infact you have done well. Safe journey…!
I have won this case!
Nothing more to talk about, the game is over.
I hope and pray he leads us to winning trophies
