Real Madrid have confirmed that Rodrygo Goes will not be fit in time to face Barcelona in El Clasico due to the injury he sustained in Los Blancos’ 5-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old was substituted for Aurélien Tchouaméni in the final minutes of the match.
The Brazil international hurt himself after sprinting to keep the ball in play, then recycling it for Lucas Vázquez to score the team’s third goal.

According to a report by Football Espana, Rodrygo has been ruled out of the crucial match at the Santiago Bernabéu after initial tests confirmed concerns about a hamstring issue.
The former Santos star will miss the clash with Barcelona, but there is hope he may return for their next game against Valencia at Mestalla a week later. Madrid will not know for sure how long he will be sidelined until Thursday, when a scan of his leg is scheduled.
Rodrygo has featured in 13 matches across all competitions this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side remain three points adrift of Barcelona in the La Liga standings.
