Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has reaffirmed the importance of Wilfred Ndidi to his team as they push for a top four spot in the Premier League this season, reports Completesports.com.
Ndidi has been an integral member of the team following his arrival in January 2017 from Belgian club, KRC Genk as replacement for Frenchman Ng’olo Kante.
This season, the Nigeria international has contributed two goals in six league appearances for the club.
Ndidi will look to make his 95th appearance for the Foxes on Saturday (today) when they take on Liverpool at the Anfield Stadium.
“Every team needs a player like Wilf. I’m really looking forward to going back. So much learning took place for me at Liverpool,” Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers told a news conference ahead of the game.
“We know it is going to be a very difficult game. Liverpool are on an incredible run. It’s a great opportunity for us to test and challenge their team.
“We are building a real positive mindset into our games , no matter who the opponent is.”
