Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could be sidelined for few weeks with a knee injury, manager Brendan Rodgers said.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury in Thursday’s 2-1 UEFA Europa Conference League defeat to French club Rennes.
“Wilfred Ndidi, we just have to assess him. He may have picked up an injury which may keep him out for a few weeks, which is a shame,” Rodgers told lcfc.com.
The former Genk star is now doubtful for Nigeria’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against Ghana next week.

His absence will be a big blow to Nigeria’s chances of securing a spot in Qatar 2022.
Rodgers also provide update on Ademola Lookman’s fitness ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Brentford.
“Ricardo Pereira and Ademola Lookman were guys who put themselves out there last night even though they weren’t 100 per cent, they weren’t feeling well,” the Northern Irishman stated.
“Both those players came into the game and gave their all for the team so they should still be available. ”

Now clear that Ndidi will not feature! Bible should be drafted ASAP,any DM that will feature should not go pass the center Circle so as to protect our of central defenders. We call it standing 4 back in the years. Personally I feel we should linup this way
1 okoye
2 Aina
3 sanusi
4 bonke

Ighalo must start..his experienced in big games,he will draw fouls. Bonke will play to instructions not to cross the center Circle, yes!! He got strength with zero skill, that’s y I prefer him in a match like this…no to for errors in the middle. God bless u all

Medial ligament treatment onto minimum is 6wks. I wish he was fit.
It depends on the grade or level of the injury. Grade A takes about a week to three to heal.
Even onto 1wk, Ndidi is out of the two legs as coach Egu already knows he’s getting a replacement. We have missed Ndidi.

Nigeria beat Ghana home and away. This is have seen.
The scoreline in Kumasi is 0:2. I’ve seen it. But the scorers aren’t really clear yet. But I’m seeing Osimhen. So is either Osimhen score the both goals,or he score one of them.
