Brendan Rodgers says he has no concerns about the attitude of some of Leicester’s senior players and claims they are hungry for success. The Northern Irishman says he heard plenty about the likes of Premier League title winners Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan and Kasper Schmeichel, and the influence they now wield at King Power Stadium, before his arrival.

Rodgers has found that the trio, and several other experienced members of his squad, aren’t as has been described in the media, insisting they are still determined to help the club strive for further success. The ex-Celtic and Liverpool boss says they only want what is best for the club and is using them as an example to younger members of his first-team set-up.
“For all the senior players, Jamie, Wes and Kasper, I probably read a lot the stuff that was written about these boys,” Rodgers told the Leicester Mercury. “But you always need to make your own mind up when you go in and I have found a core of senior players who are actually good guys.
They just want to do their very best. “They won the title and they have smelt it, felt it and want more, but they are willing to put the work in. “I have found all of them a joy to work with, Jamie included. They are hungry and want to do well. They want to be the best they can be.”
