Hull KR have been dealt a blow after it was revealed that Matt Parcell could miss the rest of the season with a shoulder problem.
The 26-year-old only joined the club last month as part of a loan deal that saw Shaun Lunt head to back to Leeds Rhinos.
Parcell has made a big impact so far, scoring two tries in three games under Tony Smith.
He helped his side beat Leeds Rhinos at Headingley last week but suffered a shoulder injury as well as a concussion.
The club have now announced that Parcell will see a shoulder specialist but he will miss the rest of the season if he is forced to have surgery.
Head physiotherapist Dan Ramsden told the club’s official website: “Matt has had initial scans.
“He will meet with our shoulder specialist tomorrow [Wednesday] to establish the most appropriate treatment plan moving forward, this could involve a period of rehabilitation or potentially surgery.
“Return to play following surgery would be approximately four months.”
