Hull KR head coach Tony Smith has agreed a deal with Warrington Wolves to sign forward Luis Johnson on loan. The Robins are battling against relegation but boosted their chances of survival on Saturday with a shock 16-14 victory over Warrington.
Smith had previously hinted that he was looking for reinforcements and he will hope that Johnson can provide extra competition. Johnson earned his debut for Wire last season against Wigan but has been left out in the cold during the 2019 campaign.
Smith said: “I really appreciate Warrington for loaning us Luis for the next month. “He’s a good young, enthusiastic player and I’m looking forward to working with him. “He will add some depth – we’re pretty much down to our bare 17 – and he won’t be the only one, we’re on the look-out.”
