Rivers United and Abia Warriors played out a 0-0 draw in a pre-season friendly at the Uyo Township on Tuesday.
Rivers United dominated the opening exchanges but were unable to find the back of the net.
Abia Warriors later grew into the game carving out chances of their own.
Liberian import Mark Gibson was close to handing Stanley Eguma’s side the lead on 65 minutes but failed to direct his shot on target.

Both teams are preparing for the 2023/24 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The new season will kick-off on September 10.
Rivers United will also campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Port Harcourt club will face Etoile Filante of Burkinaso Faso in the second round next month.
