Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers will take on Cape Town Tigers of South Africa in the third-placed game on Friday, at the 2024 Basketball Africa League in Rwanda.
The fixture was confirmed after Cape Town Tigers lost 96-86 to Angola’s Petro de Luanda in Wednesday’s semi-final.
Prior to the second semi-final clash between Cape Town Tigers and Petro de Luanda, Rivers Hoopers had lost to Libya’s Al Ahly.

The Nigerian team fell to a 83 points to 89 against the Libyan side.
Rivers Hoopers made history as the first Nigerian team to reach the semi-finals of the Basketball Africa League.
To get to the last four, they edged Tunisian outfit US Monastir in the quarter-finals.
