Rivers Angels have sent congratulatory message to their former player Chiamaka Okwuchukwu who recently joined San Diego Wave in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the US.
Okwuchukwu was announced as a new player of San Diego after signing a one-year contract.
“Congratulations to our former striker, Chiamaka Okwuchuckwu, who has officially signed for the San Diego women’s team in the USA,” Rivers Angels wrote on X.
“We wish her the best of luck and a successful career in the United States of America.”
Okwuchukwu was one of the standout performer for the Falconets at the 2024 FIFA U-20 women’s World Cup.
Her impressive showing earned her a nomination for the 2024 CAF Women’s Young Player of the Year award.
