Fulham’s on-loan goalkeeper Sergio Rico has revealed he hopes to play in the Premier League again next season. The Spain international is currently on a season-long loan at Craven Cottage from Sevilla and he has established himself as the Cottagers number one over recent months, featuring in 17 of their 26 Premier League games to date.
However, the 25-year-old could well suffer relegation during his time with Fulham, as the west Londoners currently sit second-bottom of the standings and eight points adrift of safety.

Indeed, Rico would be forgiven for being put off English football following Fulham’s struggles this season, but the goalkeeper has instead revealed how much he is enjoying life in the Premier League and that he wants to play in the top-flight once again next term – either with Fulham or another club. “I have to come back to Seville but I would like to come here [England] next season because I am very happy here,” Rico told Sky Sports. “I like the Premier League and I enjoy it a lot here in London, I am so happy. I don’t know the future now but I would like to come here again.”
Rico is likely to be between the sticks once again when Fulham travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham on Friday – a match Claudio Ranieri’s side realistically need to win if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation.
