Victor Osimhen proved he is the most influential player in the French Ligue 1 this season by getting a goal in Lille’s 2-0 away win at Angers SCO last Friday.
With 12 goals and three assists in 23 games, Osimhen has been a key player for Lille since the start of the season. Against Angers on Friday, the striker once again illustrated the fact that he literally carries the attack of Les Dogues on his shoulders.
For the eighth time this season , the Lagos native opened the scoring for his team, enough to beat the top scorer of the league, Wissam Ben Yedder (7) and the Brazilian Neymar (6). And his goals are decisive to say the least as it has earned 13 points for his team , more than any other player.

Like Osimhen, two other players are essential: Habib Diallo in the ranks of FC Metz and Denis Bouanga in the colors of AS Saint-Etienne. The Grenades forward, who has also opened the scoring eight times for his team, has earned 10 points for the promoted club, currently 16th in Ligue 1.
For his part, Denis Bouanga also earned 10 points for the Greens. But unfortunately for his team, he was hampered by an injury in December which removed him from the field until the end of January. The number 20 has not yet found its effectiveness since his return.
The top 5 players whose goals have scored the most points this season:
– Victor Osimhen: 13 points
– Habib Diallo: 10 points
– Denis Bouanga: 10 points
– Neymar: 9 points
– Ludovic Ajorque: 9 points

Lived and played in Lagos. Family lived in Oregun whilst the club he played for Synergy Ultimate Strikers Academy is based in Lagos. It’s from there that he was picked for the U17.
So, yes, he was a Lagos boy (from Lagos)

Can you guys stop the division madness for christ sake, Edoman has passed this to you right! Very soon you’ll start naming the number of Abokis in SE. Give yourself sense….
Common stop that… What is wrong listing players from a state.. How is that madness.. Is it done everywhere in the world where players from a particular region are cited.. Haven’t you seen where the place c. Ronaldo came from being mentioned with his name, what’s the big deal in it.. If your state doesn’t produce super stars don’t bring the hate to some else whose state does.. Mind you I’m not from edo state and I see nothing more in appreciating your state and the stars from it.
