Liverpool are reportedly willing to break their transfer record this summer with the signing of Benfica’s Francisco Reis Ferreira.
Francisco Reis Ferreira, commonly known as Ferro, only made his first-team debut last month in a 10-0 demolition of Nacional but he has been an ever-present in Bruno Lage’s side ever since.

The 21-year-old centre-back is one of the most promising talents to emerge from Benfica’s youth system and the club is doing everything in their power to keep hold of the sought-after defender.
In a bid to ward off potential suitors, the Aguias handed Ferro a new deal at the beginning of March until the summer of 2023 and inserted an £85million release clause into his contract.
However, Premier League leaders Liverpool are still eager to acquire the Portugal Under-21 international and that would mean the club breaking their transfer record, which stands at £75m after the arrival of Virgil van Dijk in December 2017.
Ferro would also become the most expensive defender in the world if the Reds match his £85m release clause.
