Spanish La Liga side Real Betis is powering a sports partnership which will help about 100 kids from disadvantaged communities in Nigeria.
This partnership, which also involves the Nigerian Professional Football League, Daraya Sports and the Safe Haven Football Academy was launched in Ikorodu area of Lagos on Sunday.
According to the promoters, the long-term goal of the partnership is to raise awareness for grassroots sports education and provide access to quality training in areas that can’t afford it.

Present at the occasion were ex-international Mutiu Adepoju; a delegate of La Liga Global Network Group, Desmond Chiji and the convener, Segun Adeniyi, who confirmed that the Academy will train up to 100 disadvantaged kids Ikorodu community.
They also stressed that the initiative is to promote grassroots sports education in disadvantaged communities in Nigeria.
According to them, La Liga and Real Betis will be showcasing their interest in grassroots development by donating equipment including balls, bibs, jerseys, among others.
