Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale has revealed that he’s optimistic the Gunners will win trophies this season.
The Gunners go into this weekend top of the Premier League table after seven games.
Arsenal’s last major trophy came in 2019/2020 when they lifted the FA Cup under current manager Mikel Arteta.
Ramsdale, speaking to the Joe Cole Cast, said: “[We want to qualify for the] Champions League for sure.

“And then I think we give it a real good go in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, one of the domestic cups with a European trophy would be a perfect season.
“The fans always have banter with other teams over when you last won trophies, so why would you not go and try and win the Carabao Cup or the FA Cup and for me that would be a dream, to win a couple of trophies this year.”
Senior team
On 25 May 2021, Ramsdale was called up as part of Gareth Southgate‘s 33-man provisional senior squad for the delayed UEFA Euro 2020. He was not named in the final 26-man squad, with goalkeepers Dean Henderson, Sam Johnstone and Jordan Pickford being selected ahead of him, but was called up to the squad one game into the tournament after Henderson withdrew with an injury. Ramsdale made his debut for the senior squad starting in a 10–0 away victory against San Marino during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on 15 November 2021.
Media
Ramsdale was involved in the Amazon Original sports docuseries All or Nothing: Arsenal, which documented the club by spending time with the coaching staff and players behind the scenes both on and off the field throughout their 2021–22 season.
Personal life
Ramsdale is a West Bromwich Albion fan, and cited an admiration for their former keeper Ben Foster when he played against him in 2019.
