Ivan Rakitic could depart Barcelona in January after a deadline day move to Juventus fell through. The Croatia international had been keen to stick with Barcelona despite the arrival of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax.
However, the Catalan giants’ attempts to use the playmaker as a makeweight in their failed bid to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain are understood to have left Rakitic disillusioned and keen on a move away from Camp Nou.

Italian champions Juventus made a late move for Rakitic on deadline day and it is understood they agreed personal terms with the former Sevilla man.
However, Tuttosport claim Barca requested Italy international Federico Bernardeschi as part of the deal and the Bianconeri refused.
Juve remain keen to land Rakitic, who has made one substitute appearance for Barcelona this season, and will reignite their interest in the winter window.
Barca are likely to be open to offers for Rakitic, who will enter the final year of his deal at the end of the season, but Juve could face competition as Inter Milan have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
