Former Argentina defender, Pablo Zabaleta has slammed Belgian Players after their defeat to the Atlas Lions of Morocco at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Morocco emerged victorious with a 2-0 win over Belgium at the Al Thumama Stadium on Sunday.
The first half ended 0-0 with few chances for both sides and Hakim Ziyech’s free kick goal ruled out for offside by VAR.
Substitute Abdelhamid Sabiri scored the first goal for Morocco in the 73rd minute, while Zakaria Aboukhlal made it 2-0 in the 92nd minute.
According to BBC, Zabaleta blasted the commitment of the Belgians following the defeat.
“There is no passion, no fire,” Zabaleta said.
“It is really sad to see that group of players not fighting for their country. My big concern about Belgium is the players saying we are not the team we used to be.”
Belgium are currently third in Group F with three points after two games.
The Red Devils will play Croatia next on Thursday December 1 at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.
