Portugal head coach, Fernando Santos was not happy with Cristiano Ronaldo’s reaction to being substituted in Friday’s World Cup clash against South Korea.
Santos also refused to confirm whether the forward will play in the Round of 16 clash against Switzerland on Tuesday (today).
Ronaldo who looked visibly angry when substituted was caught on camera saying, “He’s in a rush to sub me.”

Ronaldo was then involved in a verbal altercation with South Korea player Cho Gue-Sung as he left the field, and it was only after the game that Santos realised how Ronaldo had reacted to his substitution.
“Let’s split this answer in two,” said Santos when asked about video footage appearing to show Ronaldo criticising the decision to substitute him.
“Right after the match, I spoke in the flash interview, and then went to the press conference, and there I said something I’ll repeat here: on the pitch, I didn’t hear anything. I was too far, and this is why I only saw him arguing with a South Korean player, and nothing else.
“Have I already watched the footage? Yes. I didn’t like it. Didn’t like it at all. From there, it’s things you sort out internally. It was sorted out this way, and now we think about the game tomorrow. Everyone is focused on the game.”

GENERAL ROAH couldn’t BELIEVE the TEAM HE LEFT BEHIND.HE is in SHOCK!LMFAO I never lost a match by 4-0 to any team, during my five years as coach of Nigeria” – Gernot Rohr
Date: December 3, 2022Author: Admin0
Erstwhile Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr has openly criticised Nigeria’s performance against Portugal in a friendly in November.
The three-times African champions, led by Jose Peseiro were shambolic on the night, in Lisbon. Super Eagles started the game on a low note and despite improving later, they could not stop Bruno Fernandes from scoring a brace while Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario scored once each.
Things went from bad to worse for Nigeria on the night, when Emmanuel Dennis missed a penalty to reduce the deficit. Peseiro admitted his team will have to improve to stand a chance of winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Reacting to the defeat, former Franco – German coach, Gernot Rohr said : “I watched the game against Portugal in Lisbon. I didn’t recognise my players at all. I wasn’t happy with how they played and the result. I never lost a match 4-0 to any team, during my five years as coach, he said to Osasu Obayiuwana.”
“Losing 4-0 was too much, we didn’t start well in the first half, we didn’t show good organisation and we didn’t pressure the opponent. It’s true the opponent has too much quality but like I said the first half was not good but the second half was much better,” Peseiro said to NFF TV after the game.
Seems Ronaldo doesn’t understand that he is 37..You are not the Ronaldo of 10 or 15 years ago……and this is the reason Messi is seen as a more humble goat. This recent attitude displayed by at club and natiinal team level is annoying and str8 arrogance.
