Spanish football superstar Carles Puyol Saforcada, commonly known as Puyol “The Wall” is coming to Nigeria for the UEFA Champions League Tour Presented By Heineken®.
At an announcement event hosted by Heineken® in Lagos on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, it was established that Puyol will be a part of the UEFA Champions League Tour Presented By Heineken® in Nigeria between the 16th-18th of April, 2019.
The tour will be a three day experience that will feature exclusive encounters in Lagos and Uyo and an unmissable match to be played by select consumers and the Spanish superstar, Puyol.
Since 1994, the most international beer brand Heineken® has been a partner of the European football body, UEFA, and ever since, the brand has sponsored club football’s biggest competition, the UEFA Champions League.
Now in 2019, the brand is set to bring the illustrious big-eared prize to Nigeria along with the famous UEFA Champions League legend, who has won three Champions League titles.
Speaking on why the premium lager decided to host the UEFA Champions League Tour and Puyol in Nigeria for the first time, the Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Emmanuel Oriakhi stated that,

During the tour, fans will get a chance to engage with the football Legend in a unique, remarkable and unmissable way.
In this campaign, Heineken® will be taking at least 12 consumers and fans on an all-expense paid experience to watch the UEFA Champions League semi-finals and finals live in Europe. With all these exciting things lined up, it’s hard to stay calm and not be utterly thrilled. What a time to be alive!
