USA coach, Gregg Berhalter insists Pulisic’s case won’t be like that of Mohammed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne who failed to get their big break before leaving Chelsea.
Berhalter was in Amsterdam on Wednesday night to watch the American’s finest night of his short career in English football.
Pulisic since arriving England has struggled for game-time following his 58million Euro move from Borussia Dortmund. Against Ajax, he proved to be in the form of his life as he created the opportunity for Batshuayi to score the winning goal and Berhalter believes the winger ‘fits perfectly’ into Frank Lampard’s team.
‘He’s not the only player in the world who has had a challenge adapting at the beginning of a move,’ Berhalter said,
‘I have a lot of confidence in Frank Lampard that he’s doing those things to get Christian to where he needs to be… this is a different model.’
Pulisic has been under pressure since arriving Stamford bridge especially with Chelsea under a transfer embargo and the departure of Eden Hazard.

‘The manager told me, “Go in, make an impact, make a difference” and I’m happy I was able to help a little bit with that,’ he said.
‘I’m never going let that put me down by not playing, I’m going to keep fighting because this is where I want to be.’
Lampard was also full of praise for his performance against Ajax.
On Pulisic, he added: ‘I basically tried to shut my ears to too much of the outside talk… I understood the quality of Christian. I understood his young age.
He added: ‘I see the big picture with him. I want him to be successful at this club.’
