Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey could make his first appearance since early January when Burnley come to town on Tuesday. The former Liverpool and Swansea man has been restricted to just 11 appearances in the Premier League this season.
A thigh injury left him sidelined for the majority of December and he suffered a reoccurrence of that injury in early January.

After along period of rehabilitation, Newcastle are confident that he is ready to get back on the pitch for their crucial run-in. Ki Sung-yueng, who sustained a hamstring injury on international duty, returned to the substitutes bench last time out and could be involved, while Paul Dummett and Joselu are also in contention. Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez only has two certain absentees in the shape of defender Ciaran Clark and goalkeeper Rob Elliot.
