Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi has been dropped from Germany’s preliminary squad for the Euro 2024.
Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann announced his preliminary squad on Thursday, with Adeyemi among some notable names missing.
Adeyemi played a key role as Dortmund reached their third UEFA Champions League final, where they will face Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old has scored two goals and made one assist in 11 Champions League games.
In the Bundesliga this season, he has three goals, one assist in 20 league appearances.

Born in Munich, Germany to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother, Adeyemi made his debut for the German senior national team in 2021.
He was part of the squad to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup but did not feature in any match as Germany crashed out in the group stage.
Meanwhile, Adeyemi’s Dortmund teammates Mats Hummel’s, Julian Brandt and Niklas Sule were also omitted.
Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry is another high profile name missing amid his continued injury issues.
The Euro 2024 will hold in Germany and will run from June 14 to July 14.
Germany have named their squad for Euro 2024 and left out four Borussia Dortmund stars – including Mats Hummels – as well as Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry.
Germany have failed to make it past the first knockout since Euro 2016, bombing out of the World Cup in Qatar in the group stages. As tournament hosts they will be expected to make an impression and boast talents like Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz and veteran Toni Kroos, who this year returned to the international fray.

So sad for adeyemi but his form has been poor this season and he doesn’t deserve a place in the German team for the euro..
Holland just released their team and zikzee in bologna didn’t also make the team..
This is a good opportunity to try to convince some of these players but sadly adeyemi is no longer eligible for Nigeria..
He still eligible, because he plays for them when is still under 21, therefore he can still represent Nigeria
im sorry, he is no more eligible he had played four matches for them qualifier in world cup and on Euro league
If Germany could omit both Hummels and Suule the 2 Dortmund Centre backs then no hope for the like for Adeyemi.
The Germany list is quite formidable.
Loaded with quality players.
Their officials are obviously not joking around. Only the best of the best are being selected.
Euro Nation’s league is a friendly tournament ď Adeyemi is still eligible for Nigeria
