Brighton and Hove Albion made Premier League in Saturday’s 1-0 away defeat to Semi Ajayi’s relegation threatened West Bromwich Albion.
They became the first side in Premier League history to miss two penalties by both hitting the woodwork in a single game.
Brighton were first awarded a penalty in the 19th minute for a handball via VAR but Gross crashed his effort against the bar.

Then with 14 minutes left in the game Brighton got another penalty and this time Welbeck saw his attempt come off the post.
Kyle Bartley’s 12th minute header a corner sealed the win for Sam Allardyce’s men.
Despite the win, West Brom are still in the drop zone in 19th position on the log.
Ajayi did not feature for the Baggies following the red card he got in their last league game.
