President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi, Nigeria’s Football Ambassador.
As Nigeria’s Football Ambassador – a largely ceremonial role – Amokachi will assist the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to scout for talents, be part of processes to revive the country’s football development, as well as mentor young sportsmen and women
Amokachi, a member of the 1994 Super Eagles team that won the African Nations Cup in Tunisia, was also in the Nigerian Olympic Football team to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that won the Gold Medal.

Some of you just pick up your keypads and type without any research, like kindergarten kids.
Mtschew !
Buhari appoint a fellow Hausa man that failed woefully as a coach both home and abroad. Stop talking about him as assistant coach. Nigeria top chairs have all been taken by abokis. Sorry country
See how you are just disgracing yourself in public with your ignorance. when did Daniel Amokachi become a hausa man. Ethnicity kill Nigerians.
@ Na Wah was correct. Some of u just pick up keypads bcos glo gave you free data and type rubbish without doing even the simplest research.
This is good for a great man like Da Bull. He deserves better than what they just gave him. But not bad. Congratulations Da Bull Amotaxi….
I don’t understand some peoples logic and way of thinking after reading is profile as a player and a coach if Amokachi is a flop to you then you need to see the doctor……
@ Simon leave Buhari alone and let every Nigerian deal first with their frivolous, selfish, egoistic mentality as well as desperate pursue of vain wealth/ status, then people like Buhari, IBB, Obj, Jonathan etc will be history..These lots n even many more to come thrive on those very negative mentality, the ” Nigerian factor”. So be honest with yourself, Buhari isn’t d problem, the problem lies within nigerians. Jonathan had the chance to effect a major change but those factors militated against that happening, and many more in the past failed too as a consequence of that. I remember back then in the past late Major General Idiagbon, came on board to truly sanitise the Nigerian polity, he got overthrown n killed amidst wide celebration of nigerians every where, such to my biggest surprise even as a kid then. That was when I truly start to understand the free fall Nigeria was welcoming as same huge population of nigerians celebrated the in coming of IBB, who took good advantage of those very negative mentality, that will always work against the growth of a state, to plunge Nigeria into such pitiable state it is today. Same fate was George Idah’s case. Do I blame IBB or any other? NO. I blame it on the way we think while IBB n rest have got a date with God Almighty.
