Mason Mount scored a hat-trick as Chelsea thrashed Norwich City 7-0 at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea raced out of the blocks to take an early advantage through Mount on eight minutes.
Callum Hudson-Odoi doubled the lead in the 18th minute and Reece James scored the third three minutes before the break.
Norwich’s woes continued after the break as Ben Chilwell continued his fine scoring run hitting the net three mimutes before the hour mark, while Max Aaron scored an own goal in the 62nd minute.

7 Up performance!!!
Was Josh Sargent in the game? Being number 20th on the league table, Norwich wasn’t expected to beat Chelsea, though in football, anything can happen. Delia Smith and Michael Wynne Jones are not known to be big spenders when it comes to buying players, they are hardly at the transfer market. Otherwise, one would have expected injection of fresh legs to fire up the side. 7-0 is way off the mark. A winner emerged after all, Up Chelsea!
The blues has been a free scoring side lately. Against Tottenham last month, it was Silva, Kante and Rude boy Rudiger putting 3 at the back of the goal line. Then comes Southampton, where another 3 went into our kitty. And in the Uefa, Malmo pocketed 4 with no consolation price. When it is on the palms we run things, Blues running the show. Chelsea4life.
Chelsea fans can get mouth… Don’t let the small teams you have been playing deceive you. We are meeting on the 20th of next month, so, be ready for your basketful of goals. Up up Foxes!!!
Ha ha ha! I like your comment. Small teams you said, bring Leicester for dinner my guy. Or is Patson Daka or my fellow Nigerian, Nacho deceiving you? Even Bayerns of today will not see back of our net. Lol!
N-O-R-W-I-C-H.
Ruthless Chelsea spell Norwich in a 7 nil massacre of the Canaries.
No Lukaku. No Werner. No problem!
This match is evidence that Murphy’s Law is indeed valid. Today, everything that could go wrong went horribly wrong for Norwich! Even the penalty that Krul saved was ordered retaken!
Take nothing away from Chelsea though. Crisp passing, mobility, ruthless, merciless finishing. Tuchel has transformed this team into a well-oiled machine. His 3-4-3 system fits the squad like a glove.
Fine outing by Mason Mount. He gets the match-ball with his hattrick.
Kovacic stood out for me. Roaming the midfield with panache and purpose, spraying killer passes all over the place. An absolute joy to watch!
I was surprised that Ziyech didn’t start with Lukaku and Werner absent. When he was eventually subbed in, you could tell that Ziyech had what we refer to as the GOAL ITCH. He wanted to score so badly. He took several shots at goal, and his performance will give Tuchel something to think about.
How about the Chelsea back 3 of RUDIGER (THE RUDE BOY), THIAGO SILVA AND CHALOBAH? Solid. And the wing backs Chilwell and James weighing in with 2 beautiful goals. Chilwell in particular has been in a rich vein of form, and has scored in his LAST THREE MATCHES. The man he is benching, Marcus Alonso, is also a terrific left wing back. Great to see such depth in the squad.
The Champions League defending champions are looking really good for even more trophies this season.
